There are over 80 acres of woods, fields and an island to explore. The property has over 2,000 feet of frontage on the Chippewa River. There is also a year around creek that flows through the property to the river. Currently there are three separate sites that are suitable for camping on the bank of the Chippewa. Each site is primitive and has lots of privacy. There are five trails that go through the woods as well as follow the bank of the river. There is a stairway that descends to the river. The river at this point is rather pristine. There are no houses on the camping side of the river and just a few on the opposite side. The river along the property is great for wading, swimming, canoeing/kayaking and fishing. Less than 3 miles from the property there are snowmobile and four wheeling trails that connect to trails that extend over 300 miles. The property is less than 10 miles from the headquarters of the Ice Age Trail that stretches from near Superior to near Madison, Wisconsin.

Lots of room to branch out. Brunette state park is near by and a must see for their River and hiking. Even just a day at camp relaxing and taking in the nature is well worth it. The hosts are super thoughtful and offer you space and some firewood.

We selected site 1, per recommendation of the host. It was along a side channel of the river and the water was quite still. Lots of mosquitoes and deer flies. It was a steep walk. It was quiet and very secluded. The hosts were very nice and helped carry of stuff down and gave us areas to kayak. I would recommend a site not along the river.

Just a lovely area to stay right near the river. Dennis and Kathleen are just the kindest people you could hope to meet. Kathleen was generous enough to show us how to get down to the water from our site and even dropped off more wood for a fire on our second day. The land is very natural so be prepared for all the bugs! Overall just a nice, quiet place to take some time to get away.

Beautiful place. Stayed at campsite 5. Super secluded. Peaceful. You literally see no one else. The hosts are fantastic and welcoming. Coming back for another stay this summer!

Our weekend was absolutely amazing! We had to drive to the owners home and through the yard to park. We were on campsite 1 and it was about 1/8 of a mile to get to the site from the car. There was a hill to walk down right away but the rest was a flat easily marked trail through ferns and woods! So beautiful! The campsite itself was beautiful with plenty of trees for hammocks and space for multiple tents. It was right on the water. The water was low so we walked down the water and sat in a shallow spot multiple times to escape the summer heat. As night fell the space was lit up by fireflies and the sound of frogs pulled us to sleep then the birds woke us up in the mornings. The toilet was up near the car and private and clean. Only advice is BRING BUG SPRAY! Being that close to the water the mosquitoes were about ready to carry us away! The owners were so sweet and gave us a ton of privacy.

They were lovely. My group had a great time and the campsite was great. They also made us feel at home. We also had a blow mattress and they were kind to let us use power at the house. So sweet!

Beautiful spot right on the bank of the Chippewa river, very private. Dennis and Kathleen and their dog were very welcoming. Don’t forget to bring bug spray, though!

We had a great time canoeing the Chippewa River and staying at Maggie's Mirror! Dennis and Kathleen are excellent hosts. They let us borrow a kayak and gave directions where to launch and get out. Site #2 is a small site right on the river, just a short hike down from where you park. Some road noice but private campsite
