Welcome to our certified organic farm. Located at the end of a dead end lane in the heart of the hill county of southwest Wisconsin our rustic sites offer you a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of our modern life. Our farm has ridge top views, abundant wildlife, and some of the best night skies a person could hope for. Our property is 200 acres and we have lots of nice hiking trails and place high value on the peace and quiet of our beautiful natural environment. This is a active farm growing fresh organic produce, cut flowers, culinary herbs and fruits. We also host on farm workshops throughout the year through our nonprofit called Driftless Curiosity. Visit our website at driftlesscuriosity.org for a full list of activities. Our farm is minutes away from Camp Creak a class A trout stream as well as an easy drive to the Kickapoo Valley Reserve and the Kickapoo River. The town of Viroqua is about 20 miles away with it's vibrant food scene and unique shops. Our sites are rustic in nature and spread out over our farm so you can expect a relatively private experience.

Spectacular Views, Camping Comforts
We loved car camping at Keewaydin Farms and getting a chance to meet Rufus and his mother, Mary! Rufus was a fantastic host and checked to make sure we had everything we needed. It was also nice to get to know them and some history about the farm. The views were spectacular during the day and at night. During our stay, the weather was quite hot so we went to the Kickapoo river and into Viroqua one of the days to try and stay cool, but would have loved to do more hiking throughout the farm and get a tour from Rufus or purchase some produce. The outdoor shower was an awesome perk and having firewood to use, potable water nearby, and a pit toilet on site was ideal for my family's camping trip and my parents' first time camping with some comforts. We had some spots with shade and sun throughout, a couple tables for food/prepping, and space to park our cars on site. It couldn't have been better and I'm excited to see it next time as I know they're just getting started on Hipcamp! We would highly recommend this camp. We have always been enamored with the Driftless region and make it there a few times a year, and will certainly be back to camp at Keewaydin while exploring the region!

The Peaceful Forest
What a great host!! Spent a night tenting. It was nice and quiet with great star gazing. Firewood provided was a big plus since we arrived on motorcycle. I would stay here again.

The Peaceful Forest
10 out of 10
SO peaceful! The campsite is a nice distance from the house and buildings so it's private and quiet. Rufus offered a place to fill our water and a solar shower (which we didn't use so I can't review). We bought some delicious fruit and veggies for our meals and some to take home. Our cell service was sporadic out at camp but up by the house it was strong. All in all, a perfect spot.

The Pines
This is a quintessential driftless area farm. Beautifully hilly, with open fields and mature woods. Rufus was generous in offering to get my gear across the farm to the campsite and back as the hills are steep, and 4wd was recommended (which I don’t have). I used a mountain bike to get around the farm and hiked the trails as well as off into the woods. I’d consider this rustic camping, as water and biffy are not right at the site… a composting bucket toilet was though. It was well worth it for the quiet, solitude, and scenic views. A bonus was learning about the organic farm operation and the wonderful hospitality provided by the hosts.

The Pines
Our stay was amazing. Scenery was beautiful and camp site was located high up with a lovely view. We especially loved the the area where you pitch your tents under the pine trees. It’s was so peaceful. Rufus met us when we arrived and made sure we made it to the site without any issue. He was responsive to any questions and made us feel right at home. We will definitely go back!!
