The perfect site for the patient explorer! Become like Louis and Clark as you find your path down a small waterway around fallen trees, islands of peat moss, and floating logs. At the end of your adventure, you'll be awarded with a beautiful lake. Be ready to bathe in nature and adventure at this newly leveled site.
Deep in the backwoods of rural Wisconsin, Camp Escape is an excellent spot to disconnect with the 21st century and get completely off grid. At this camp, a handful of secluded sites each come with spectacular lakeside views and shelter from pine trees for complete isolation.
Here’s a chance to test your wilderness skills. There’s 70 acres of private forest and four kettle lakes at your disposal, so getting to know your surroundings must be top of the list. You can potter around on the water in rowing boats and canoes (both free for campers to use) and fish for bass to grill over your campfire. Kids can safely run off energy, make new friends at the play areas, or go scavenging for raspberries in season.
Beyond camp, there’s a whole wilderness of 5,000 acres just begging to be explored; take a backpack and hike or horseback ride into the forest, or rent an ATV or snowmobile for winter adventures in the hills. At the end of the day, though, there’s probably nothing better than sitting on a wooden dock overlooking a lake and contemplating the wilderness as the sun sets.
No-fuss amenities at this back-to-nature campground include fire rings, wooden tables, and parking by each site. Gas cylinders are available, but there’s no drinking water so you'll need to bring your own. There’s one compostable toilet on the park as well as plenty of dirt (and trees to hide behind) for catholes.

Camp escape was easy to get to, with a well maintained bathroom facility, plenty of activities to keep us busy having fun and Tara was an incredibly helpful and responsive host. The Waterside campsite tho not at a swimmable lake is an easy walk to boats, fishing and swimming. Camp escape was exactly that - an escape- and a beautiful place to spend time.
Rustic Campsite with beautiful woods and nearby lake. The mosquitos weren't bad and the hostess was very nice and helpful. Would recommend having a 4 wheel drive vehicle to access campsite.
This was an amazing experience! Tara was so helpful. She met us when we arrived and even got a fire going for us while we set up camp. The area was beautiful as well. Tara took us out on her 4 wheeler and showed us the entire area. I loved how quiet and tucked away everything was too. We will definitely be back.
We enjoyed our time very much. Nice property with plenty to entertain my 12 year old son and his friend. Tara and her dad were very nice and everything was as detailed. Great experience for us!
Tara's sites are fantastic! A great play to get out of town and enjoy the outdoors. I don't think I have seen to many stars in a long time! The site was well kept and had the perfect amount of privacy! I had firewood and brush to start a fire when I visited. Will be back!

Love this campsite. Highly recommend for a relaxing and fun vacation. Tara is extremely welcoming. We will be returning soon.
