Our family of 6 (plus our dog) loved our stay at Black Cockatoo campsite - we'd barely been there 10 minutes when we started talking about staying longer next time! It's a beautiful location that is sheltered by a grove of pine trees & overlooks a beautiful paddock. Lots of morning sun but as the heat of the day hits there's plenty of shade & then by about 3pm the pines shade the entire area.

Just behind the huge campfire is a tap for drinking water that makes things so easy, & a short walk between the pines is the flushing toilet. There were many other campers around but we'd only see them on our walks around the farm or when we were visiting the toilet, each campsite is nice & private & a good distance away from others.

We stayed with our caravan & 2 small tents & there was so much room for more.

There's nothing we didn't like about our stay, can't wait to have time to come back!

One entrance to Black Cockatoo, also the walkway to & from the loo. Just pulled in with the pines behind the van & looking out towards the campfire & paddock. Heaps of room at Black Cockatoo - kids setting up a tent far from mum & dad's van.

Hidden gem! I stayed at both Black Cockatoo and Rufus sites. Both had a feeling of being completely isolated, with no other campers nearby. It was awesome. Stayed 5 days. Not only is Vic a super cool dude, but he's got running water (fine to drink) and flushable toilets nearby these camps. He's really done a fantastic job and I recommend anyone to check out his sites. You'll need at least a SUV with AWD or 4x4 to access (I was fine in a 2014 T43 X-trail 4x4 if that helps to get an idea).

We had a relaxing few days at Jabez farm.
Enjoyed going for walks, sitting around the fire, and were lucky to have great weather.
Vic is a friendly accomodating host which always helps.
Flushing toilets were a surprise…very clean
Recommend for a stay close to the big smoke

Quiet, secluded camps with clean, flushing toilets available. Vic was keen to assist, and it was nice to feel we were away from the city, despite only being a couple of hours' drive away. It was lovely to have campfires, and the skies were great. Some of the tracks are quite sandy, so be careful if you are towing with 2WD. The roads in are unsealed, though well maintained, for about 10km in either direction and have muddy patches after rain.

This is our second stay at Vic’s farm.
We love it!! Close to home but far enough away to escape for a while. We stayed at Black Cockatoo site for 2 nights.
Great site, great scenery, quiet. We took our camper, the grumpy teenager and our doggo and had an absolute ball!!
Flushing toilets x 2, water taps scattered throughout are an added bonus. Vic is a great host. Can’t wait to head back there.

I had a few questions before booking, communicating with the host Vic was very easy, he didnt charge for my 3 year old. He also allowed me to bring my own firepit for cooking.
Beautiful camp area nestled against pine trees. Feels like you are on your own, nearest camp was maybe 100m away, clean toilet about 60m away and water tap on your site as well as an area for a ground fire. So much space, the kids loved exploring. Great camping all round, plenty of shade as well.
