This is what camping should be like! -Slumbering in a comfy queen bed (NOT the hard ground)-Sleeping in a tent that doesn’t leak (it’s no fun wearing wet PJs)-Don’t have to set up a tent (Woohoo!)-Private campsite (don’t have to listen to your neighbor’s loud music)-Your own bathroom facilities (Who else doesn’t like public bathrooms?)

Honestly, we are super excited to show you this NEW glampsite! If you like adventure, the outdoors, and new things, this place is for you! There’s so much to do in this area— hiking, rock climbing, zip-lining, exploring caves, viewing waterfalls, stargazing, and more! It’s secluded and surrounded by nature, and it feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere! The setting is quiet and peaceful. Come here to disconnect from normal life and reconnect with your loved one.

It is a 3 minute walk from the parking area to the tent. You MUST READ the check-in instructions very carefully before you come (we will send them 2 days before arrival). Otherwise, it’s hard telling where you may end up in this great forest. If you be sure to READ AND FOLLOW our instructions, you should find the place easily.

Amenities? Queen bed, mini fridge, electric lights, outhouse, outdoor shower, outdoor propane stove, fire pit, picnic table, all your bedding, towels and washcloths, 6 gallons of water (you can walk to the hydrant for more- it’s a 5 min walk), a wood stove, and an AMAZING view.

We will have instructions for using the shower, using the outhouse (don’t worry, it’s easy-just a couple instructions), making a campfire, etc. in the tent.

The tent is situated in a meadow overlooking the mountains- You can see Nelson Rocks from the yard. No other dwellings or vacation cabins can be seen from the tent when the leaves are on the trees. We have 3 other cabins in the area, but they cannot be seen from the tent.

Cool local attractions you may want to research before you come: Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, Nelson Rocks, Seneca Caverns, Sinks of Gandy, North Fork Mountain Trail, Gaudineer Scenic Area, Blackwater Falls, Elakala Falls, Davis and Thomas, Douglas Falls, Mountain Rail, Dolly Sods, Canaan Valley, etc!

We have been getting people outside for 13 years now with our vacation cabins. However, this is our first glamping tent. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns you have. That will help us know what we should be adding to our description!

Beautiful and cozy

I spent two nights in late October and it rained the entire time—literally, the entire time. Despite this, I had a wonderful experience. The wood stove keeps the tent cozy and warm and it is beautiful and clean and incredibly comfortable inside. And even in the rain, the area is peaceful and beautiful. The hosts were really nice and brought me extra firewood when I needed it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants some of the camping experience without the hardship.
