Amazing place! mountain top camping
Hello again my camping buddies! I’m back w/ another wonderful review for this property and Hosts’! We had a wonderful & peaceful time again. Plenty of wide open space and fresh air! Amazing views in all directions. If you are looking for a fabulous camping experience then this is the place for you. Once again we can not wait to get back there again. A big thank you again to our hosts April and Carl! Happy camping y’all!
Gorgeous view close to fun animals!
Absolutely beautiful property hosted by amazingly gracious hosts. They happened to have a calf that needed bottle feeding during our stay so the kids loved that. Also an adorable pile of puppies to play with also available for adoption = ).
This campsite was wonderful. There is a beautiful view in one direction, and a big open field on the other.
Peaceful stay with a beautiful view. This site was a wonderful stop on our trip.
Holy cow! a great stay.
This camp site was excellent! Perched on top of a ridge, one side overlooking Lewisberg and the other the pasture speckled with cows. We drove in late and woke up to a great view. It got very windy the night we were here so be sure to stake down tents well if you experience the same conditions. Coming back soon, my little sister wants to go camping with the cows now!
5 stars!!! great hosts!
We (a group of 15 college students) absolutely loved our stay here at April's land. Their property is wonderful and has amazing views. April and Carl dare incredibly accommodating and thoughtful. Throughout our stay they brought us a second picnic table, a large water jug and fresh firewood. They were lovely hosts. Their dogs are also super cute and would come hang out with us in the morning. It was a great stay with beautiful views, great sunsets and lots of cows. April and Carl were incredible hosts and we would absolutely recommend them!!
This was a beautiful spot overlooking the mountains. This is an amazing place that gave me a great look at the beauty of life on a farm! Had a amazing stay with Carl and April, cant wait to come back!
5 star camping!! 2 thumbs up! :-)
Hello everyone!! It’s me AGAIN! This is my 3rd review for this property and once again it was an amazing experience!! April and her husband Carl made sure we had an excellent stay. They provided plenty of wood for camp fires, had a spotlessly clean port a John, have a spectacular view, sweet farm animals, beautiful property, gorgeous sunsets, starry night sky w/ hammock for viewing. I truly can not say enough nice things. We really enjoy staying here every time we visit. We are counting on coming back as soon as the weather allows!! From the bottom of my heart, I want to send the warmest thank you for an always amazing time!!!
This is a beautiful mountain farm in an absolutely gorgeous part of West Virginia. April and Carl (and their dogs Bentley and Daisy) were fantastic hosts, very kind and responsive. In addition to having a fire ring and a load of well-seasoned wood already waiting, they also provide picnic tables and a very clean Port-a-john. Campers should be sure to pack boots. This is a working farm, and there are plenty of cow patties around, but they are easy enough to avoid. Campers should also know that the tent sites are near a radio/cell tower. It does not obstruct the views at all (the hillside behind the site is wooded and blocks the stunning vista, which you can see near the farmhouse). Bonus: really good cell reception, if that's a priority for you. We had an amazing star show at night. Be sure to check out downtown Lewisburg and the Greenbrier River Trail. We also picked up some beef on our way out and can't wait to try it. They clearly raise their animals the right way.
