River Farm RV Camp is in a lovely location!

The campsites are nicely spread out, giving you far more privacy than you would find at almost any other RV park.

Ralph was an excellent host. He stopped by once a day to see how things were going and if we needed anything.

The one area that could improved was the accessibility of the bath house. Our son, Ben, has some orthopedic issues.

Getting Ben to the bathhouse required me to give him significant help to get up the steps or I had to piggyback him up the steps. Either way it was a bit of work.

I would definitely recommend River Farm RV Camp to 99% of the people I know.

It was my first RV camping and it was more than perfect. Ralph was so nice to meet us at the front of the farm and showed us around. What I really loved this place was that I do not have to worry about other campers. This place is huge and there is no one around the site. My kids loved watching animals and just everything was great. Farm raised eggs were also the best. I meber had thay fresh egg and it was so delicious.

Ralph was a very responsive and friendly host. His property is gorgeous. We had a camper van with electric hook ups and clean for bathrooms. We also used some of the fun things on the property like volleyball, cornhole and swimming in the river.

River Farm RV camp was just the getaway we needed. It was peaceful, quiet, clean, and provided a great spot to camp. We have a small, teardrop trailer and found the site to have everything we needed. A few days before our trip, Ralph let us know he’d be out of town when we arrived, but to text if anything came up and someone would greet us and show us around. The area was very pretty and peaceful. The site itself was next to a small bathroom and shower. The building was locked but we didn’t need it so can’t provide a lot of insight here. We had full hookups and the site was clean and easy to find based on the directions we were given. The fire ring was lovely and there was a nice picnic table - this was better than most state parks we’ve been to in the tri-state area. We arrived on Friday evening and got to experience some lovely stars that night. The temps in the day were around 83 but the nights were cool and easy for sleeping with just windows and fan. The sounds were lovely. We took a walk with our dogs down the trail to the swimming hole (about .8 miles) and they loved the swim and the mowed path. Then we spent the day on our rafts floating down the river. The river was low and very slow moving which actually felt decedent. Not a care in the world sort of feeling. We’d float for an hour and then walk our rafts back (took 5 mins) just walking back through the river and float for another hour. What a treat. We only saw 3 people while we were there. No other tent campers were on site But the tent camping looked awesome!! Really sweet spots with picnic tables and fire rings. This felt like a really special place. It was nice to see the animals and be on a working farm. We will be back!!

A perfect getaway. No wi-fi, limited cell service, and lots of natural beauty. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to enjoy some quiet time in nature. We were in the RV spot right next to the bathhouse with full hookups (30 amp). And, in spite of there being a few tent campers (out of sight and pretty far away), there was very limited traffic to the bathhouse. We had plenty of space to spread out, the site was level, and we had easy access to the stream where we could put in our kayak. The swimming hole was an easy 10-minute walk down a mowed path, but you could also drive if you wanted to. Our dog LOVED this place. He couldn't get enough of the smells, sights, and sounds. Ralph was the perfect host -- there when you needed him, but gone when you didn't. Be aware that the road to the farm narrows to a single lane and turns to dirt and gravel. However, folks were very good about backing up and getting off to the side to let us pass if we came upon them while towing our rig. We have a 25-foot travel trailer and didn't have any trouble getting to the site.

We stayed for the weekend and enjoyed the quiet country setting. The site had everything we needed. We had to walk or drive up the hill to get get cellular service (Verizon). The bundle of firewood was greatly appreciated!

Ralph's farm in West Virginia is WONDERFUL! We enjoyed every minute of our 2-day stay. We enjoyed walking the peaceful trails through the farm, kayaking and fishing in the North River, and just being at the campsite, with its fire ring and picnic table. We also enjoyed the night sky full of stars. Ralph was available to answer questions and provide anything we needed. We highly recommend Carp Cove Farm!
