This was my second camping trip. To keep it short and simple, I would say every part of it was perfect. Buffalo-Gap Retreat is a large area with campgrounds, cabins, public areas like a dining hall, concert stage, a lake for water activities and so much more. You have hot showers and a wood-fired sauna. An endless list of facilities. And they are all well maintained. The campground was good with a firepit and a picnic table and the location was close to the lake, the dining hall and the brick and mortar restrooms (all within a couple of minutes walk). There were a couple of portable toilets as well a few feet away. We met one of the owners and she was welcoming and kind. I would love to go back here again.
