A nestled wooded knook in a pristine forest. This campsite is perched right above the "Little Wind" river for dramatic views and sweet soft sounds. Bring your favorite group and enjoy this festive spot from dusk to dawn. This site allows room for 3 tents and up to 8 people and provides a metal fire pit with grill and one small landing pad above ground for relaxing or setting a tent on.
King Fisher Flats is connected to the network of trails throughout the local forest on the WindWoodRivers property, that offers a great adventure during your stay. We recommend at least staying for two days to get the most out of this Hipcamp experience! Park, Camp, Enjoy, and be safe and respectful to nature and yourselves! Thanks :)
*Hotsprings do line the Wind River but are out of our property boundary and we do not give express permission to access them. Even though they are hiking distance from campsites, WWR is unable to give complete details as to how and when they are available due to liability. *Hiking out of property boundaries is at your own risk. No questions will be answered about Springs that line the river due to Liability. Thank you for understanding

Everything was perfect. We had a wonderful time!
Nice! Nobody there and pretty much had the place to ourselves.
Pretty incredible, ethereal, magical place and host. The campsite was comfortable and the river right below is really lulling! Such an amazing location. Very friendly people and plenty of space/privacy, felt safe. Seems like this land is well stewarded for sure and lots of stories. Lots of great trails to wander, sharing space with eagles, hawks, heron and friends, bats, water boatmen, fish, and more. Clean, well kept, simple 'pack it in/pack it out' kinda place with a port-a-potty! The camp host was very kind and all around felt welcoming, fun, and respectful. Grateful to have this space to share along with the locals. Clearly a lot of work and love go into (and come from) this land and water and will be back! The kingfisher talking in the morning was very charming.
It's a magical place.
Unfortunately, the days I booked happened to have a heat wave. It was uncomfortable for my newborn baby to stay, due to outside circumstances. That is the only negative thing I have to say about my trip, and that's 100% outside of anybody's control.
Wonderful place, clean campsites, solitude, clean outhouses, beautiful creeks, near a healthy forest and a healthy river. Views of the stars (and the Pleiades !). I would absolutely stay again, and I'll try to come again with the family at a time when it isn't so hot.
Great little spot away from the world, perfect end to a long road trip. We sat under the stars in the hot springs and watched the sky. Only issue we had was when the female owner of the property went out of her way to shine her car lights directly into our eyes while we were walking to the bathroom at night, then said “how did you get here” it confused us. Not really sure why she was so rude? Next time introduce yourself first, then maybe explain why you are asking the people who paid to stay on your property why you are accusing them of trespassing. We were not. Other than that it is a magical little place and I hope to come back.
What a delightful spot! It was peaceful and secluded feeling even with other groups at most of the other sites. Though the bigger meadow site was empty. The walk into the campsite was brief (1-2 minutes) - and the camp host was there to help us settle in shortly after we arrived. We had everything we needed and really enjoyed our 2 night stay! Some practical things - The area where we parked our cars did get a lot of sun in the afternoons, so you want to think about what you leave in there. And the campsite is on a 5-6 foot cut bank by the creek, so we had to keep a close eye on our 1 year olds who kept wanting to get to close to the edge. We will definitely be back!
These folks are great. Several siblings hoping to share their familys land with other cool people. We had a fantastic time and hope to come back and explore the northern/upper half of the prperty. I celebrated my 50th birthday here, just wife and I and it was perfect. Chris and Tonya Johnson. Tacoma, WA
