5 acres feels much bigger because it is surrounded on 3 sides by state land. Neighbors will never build next door. This is off grid, composting out house; private and quiet. Shower cabin with sink. Solar powered. We have intermittent power and WIFI. Nearest town is 5 miles away, so come prepared. 2 tiny cabins artesian spigots outside. ( or bring your RV under 32 '. No hook ups. $30 per night. No sewage but soon to have a plug in for power) A community fire pit and lots of wood can be found. We need help burning it, when no fire ban is in effect. A propane cook stove, fire ring and refrigerator is available in the community kitchen. Lots of birds and wildlife. We are close to Dabob bay but it is not immediately accessible. This is a great base for hikers who need some comforts before hiking the great Olympic Mountains! Forage for wild herbs and berries. Go on a fishing trip in many great rivers and lakes and salt water in the sound. A million frogs croak at spring and summer! Black bears won't bother you, if you see one. They're shy, leave them be. Coyotes howl at night. Cougars are not unheard of. It's pretty wild here! Walk our trails, and soon with plant identifiers and information stations. Find what Hood Canal has to offer!

A great place to camp, shower, camp kitchen with a smoker, fire pit, artesian 💦 Two cabins, both are more than adequate, host: Suzanne is quite accommodating. I hiked several trails in the Olympics from this spot, you'll love it

My 2nights/3days STAY at Thistle Dew Campsite and BlackBerry Cabin was a GREAT EXPERIENCE!! The campsite was Well Kept and Taken Care of courtesy of the OnSite Campsite Carr Taker: Todd who did AWESOME Works with keeping the Campsite roadways and paths clear for Vehicle and Foot Traffic even during the rainy season. So accessing the campsite and walking paths are easy. In addition Todd maintains the Campsite Utilities: Solar Power to energize the Camp Exterior and Interior electric and lighting grids. There’s a Community Kitchen; Toilet and Shower area. Also there’s Outdoor Fire Pits, too!! ALL Cabin registered Clients can park their vehicles right next to your Cabin which promotes Safety and Convenience. The remarkable highlights are Listening to the local wildlife (Coyotes, Bears; Cougars, Wolves, etc) parents guide their offspring through the nearby hills. They usually walk through during early morning hours: 1am to 5am. It’s Very Nice to hear the Mother Wolf howling to her Wolf pups to keep up or come out from hiding. My Cabin Bed was Comfortable and I slept well. Also the Blackberry Cabin had a Water Pipe with access to the Artesian (Fresh Drinking) Water. My Cabin was SPACIOUS; Warm; Well Lit and Very Comfortable to ALL of my needs. And the Morning Sunrise and Sunsets are something that Everyone should experience. There are many nearby hiking and walking trails that you can exercise and enjoy. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking your STAY NOW!!… Enjoy!!
