Dale and Brian I have created a lovely camping experience on their ranch land high above the Okanogan in the Pine Forest.
Wonderful hospitality. lovely views and serenity. The big dogs are friendly and the goats are just doing the goat thing. They have the downstairs of the house set up with a bathroom and shower and a place to wash up and do your dishes. Grateful I had the chance to experience it.

If you are camping here in the summer just remember that it is VERY hot in this part of the state so arrive late in the day if you don't want to fry setting up camp. I had a dog that gets overheated easily so I left him in the car with the AC on until the sun got lower on the tree line. The property has some beautiful camp sites among the pine trees, but be prepared for a drive up some winding dirt roads to get there. It's very secluded.

The ranch dogs do bark and howl a bit at night, but they are just doing their job protecting the herd from the coyotes (or something else) that you will hear yipping in the distance.

Wonderful relaxing experience. Dale, Brian, Chewy and Chuck were excellent hosts. Beautiful views. You can choose to be close to the main house or on remote areas of property. Make sure you bring supplies because it’s a long ride to Tonasket. Primitive winding road leading to property is difficult if pulling trailer. Recommend traveling to and from property during daylight. Best for tents and small campers. Had a great time! Highly recommend!!

Rock-N-Woods farm is on an amazing and secluded 40 acres well off the beaten path. Beautiful scenery, and the hosts are warm and welcoming. My wife found the working dogs comforting as we knew we were safe when we heard coyotes and other bumps in the night. The campsites feel like you're out in the middle of nowhere, but with a bathroom, shower and amenities just around the corner. We only stayed one night, I expect we'll be back for more of this gorgeous landscape.

My family had a wonderful stay! It was a beautiful drive through a canyon that opened to a wildflower plateau in full bloom. Our hosts were very gracious to show us around, introduce us to their animals, and allow us to harvest St. John's Wort. We watched the sunset and listened to the coyotes singing through the night. My toddler slept soundly, as did I! I plan to come back next summer for two nights to roam the 40 acres and view the beautiful plant and wildlife diversity.

Dale and Brian are excellent hosts, and so are their charming animals!! The farm is remote and has 40 acres to camp on. The main house with bathroom and shower is an awesome change of scenery from going to the bathroom in the woods.

Over 4th of July weekend there were many people camping on the property. It was difficult to cook our meals over the communal fire pit— many people were vying for the same spots on the fire.

Overall, a great choice if you’re looking for a beautiful and charming getaway!
