Site 2 had nice grassy field that was flat for our larger tent setup. The location is perfect for activities throughout the Gorge. Enjoyed the sunsets here!

We stayed on the sunset plot (#1), which had ample room for our dog to get their energy out, and indeed offered a great view of the sunset. The outhouse was clean and had a handwashing station available.
We slept amazingly, and didn’t note any highway or train noise.
Rhoda was always quick to respond, kind, and accommodating!

Not very private but its fine
After our first stay we booked a 2nd trip and unfortunately things weren’t as enjoyable. The hosts are nice and they do try it seems. I just found a spot that is less expensive, less muddy, the road is better maintained, has showers, electric hook ups, and without being bothered so much by other people and their dogs running around without a leash.
Also, there were MANY random gunshots throughout the day and middle of the night that sounded as though they came from the woods on the property, it woke us up several times very startled. Also, bring mosquitoes spray because there’s water near by and those bugs will not leave you alone. Next, be careful if you bring an RV as the road is very narrow and bumpy/muddy to the campsite. The male host stays very busy moving around trees and building at their home site so just stay out of his way. Lastly, it may be hot during the day and down in town, but up in these campsites it’s VERY windy and very cold, raining and sprinkling often is to be expected it seems even on “hot” days; so prepare for that. Best wishes!

Campground Bliss
Wow, just got back from this amazing hipcamp! Tons of great spots to pitch tents, awesome firepits for cozy evenings, and the sunset views from my hammock were simply stunning. Watching the sun reflect off the gorge, through the trees, was pure magic. Also visiting the little spring was fantastic. In the morning we even heard a turkey! Nature from it's finest. Definitely adding this spot to my favorites list!

Camping with family and pets!
My family and I enjoyed our stay so much we ended up booking a second week right away instead of traveling to our next site. Beautiful sunsets, and fresh air. There’s nothing not to love here! The scenery is amazing. The hikes near by consist of Beacon Rock, Cape Horn Trail and more. They gave great recommendations for other places near by as well. The hosts are just AMAZING, we bought a whole load of wood for camping fires priced at only $25. They have very clean and adorable outhouses to use the restroom. They also just have such kindness exhilarating from them, nothing but smiles and good conversation. I was able to go in the woods a little bit and play fetch with my dog too, which is so rare because most places require your dog to be completely leashed the entire time! I’d recommend staying here over state parks or DNR camping any day. We look forward to coming back again some day. :)
