Completely surrounded by other undeveloped properties. No one around for miles. We can accommodate large groups up to 50 people. Only one other campsite on the property over 1/4 mile apart. Trails are shared for both sites. Our neighbor has a cattle pasture Southeast of the campsite about 200 yards and occasionally uses that neighboring field for quad riding and shooting sports. We try to communicate our usage schedules to avoid conflicting use, but cannot prevent them from using their property.

Beautiful, spacious location that is perfect for a larger group. My family and friends have been getting together for our annual Labor Day camping trip 30+ years and this is one of the best locations so far. We were able spread out and still feel close together, with a great area to enjoy our potluck and sit around the fire together. Everyone had lots of fun with the quad rentals driving around the property. Jack and his family are gracious hosts who joined us for our potluck and contributed pizza. I have visited the location twice now, once with 3 people and then again leading the large Labor Day group. R&R retreat is a versatile space that can be shared and enjoyed by many group sizes.
This was a lovely secluded spot for some R&R! There were lots of trails to explore and the camp spot was big and spacious!
The only downside was having two large dogs run up into the campsite, and get into my things and food. I was traveling with my cat, so this was stressful - thankfully I was traveling in a camper van, and was able to put him up away from the dogs. It took a half hour trying to chase them out. The host had warned that once every two weeks or so they get loose. Just a heads up if you’re not a fan of dogs!
Extremely private and relaxing! I went with a group of 11 other friends for a weekend. Jack came down to make sure we had everything we needed and then we had the whole place to ourselves for the weekend. We loved exploring the trails in the woods. The neighbor dogs ended up keeping us company most of the trip.
So good i had to come back again!
This is my second stay at Jack’s property because it offers the simplicity and quiet that are so hard to come by when camping in state and county parks. I brought my dog this time and she had a blast. Jack is a most gracious host. If you are looking for a quiet getaway with plenty of trails to explore and a great open field for stargazing, this is a great choice.
Large group family fun
Beautiful property, wonderfully maintained trails, very quiet and peaceful. We loved all the open space to run, play and explore. We were a big group and the property fit us all comfortably.
Beautiful private spot with lots of space and the perfect amount of amenities. Jack does a great job of greeting you and giving you all the information you need to know about his property. Can't wait to visit again!
