Amazing campsite at Jack’s place. We were here in late summer, so the site was drier and less grassy than in the pictures. Still, we loved the hiking trails surrounded by fresh wild blackberry brushes, the serene calmness of being very remote. The campsite was very private, with an amazing view as promised. Sadly we didn’t get a great sunset as the rain clouds rolled in, and it rained overnight during our stay. Woke up to amazing fresh air. Highly highly recommend staying here!!
Note - you should have an AWD to drive up directly to the campsite so you don’t need to haul your gear to the site.

We had an amazing time! The site was clean and secluded. Jack let us drive right up to our site, and was so welcoming and flexible, he even delivered up some firewood on our first night! Our dogs absolutely loved running off leash around the whole site. There are a ton of trails to walk, and ride atv on. We suggest renting the atv for a fun. Also the stars were amazing, itwas a perfect getaway from the city.
We will definitely be returning!
Jack was very helpful and provided a great stay. We stayed at the Pastoral Overlook site, and the view was great! Driving up the ATV paths (in our cars) to the campsite is not for the faint of heart, but you have the option to hike up as well. The trails around the property are well maintained, and great for hiking or riding ATVs/horses. We'll definitely be coming back next year!
We loved staying at the Pastoral Overlook! The site was scenic and private, and had plenty of room to set up three tents plus a sun pop up for shade. Our car easily made it the 1/4 mile up the hill to the campsite, so unloading our gear was easy. We had two beautiful nights of stargazing, cooking meals on a campfire and making smores. The site is 30 minutes away from Rainbow Falls State Park, so that made for a nice day trip to swim and cool off during the heat.
This was our first HipCamp experience and it did not disappoint. We were specifically looking for a seculed site so could enjoy a getaway while maintaining social distancing. We were the only people for a quarter mile which was exactly what we were looking for. The site itself had a very pretty view and we were able to find all the firewood we needed with a short walk on the nearby trails. I appreciated that we were able to park right next to the camp site which allowed for easy loading and unloading. I have already recommended this site to friends!
We had a great stay on Jacks property. The site was a fine size for both a large 6 person tent and a small 2 person tent and two cars. If it’s a sunny day, definitely bring a canopy to make some shade, as the site is pretty open! The views and privacy were magnificent, and the sit was clean and we appreciated the table and firepit immensely. Jack was a friendly host, as was his dog Bella :) thanks for a wonderful weekend!
Jack was a great host, very responsive. We Rented the two person ATV and we had the most memorable time. I Highly recommend Jacks campsite. Go for it!

Very nice and peaceful spot. Beautiful campground with great views. Had a nice picnic table.
We loved our stay at the Pastoral overlook! We drove our AWD minivan right up to the site. The view was beautiful and it was so peaceful. We loved being able to rent the ATVs as well and Jack was so helpful. He even drove up and jumped out car for us when our battery died! We will definitely return!
