The lake is great for kayaking or canoes ,its a bit shallow for swimming at its edges. You can use  floats or bring a boat without a gas motor, electric is allowed  . Small fires are allowed in the fire pit . Bald eagles fish here . Great sunsets . Bicycle around lake or go for a stroll, all pets must be on leash in the neighborhood . You can pitch a tent by the lake as well if you wish . Water is available right off the front porch and there is a small kitchen inside. A hot plate , micro, mini fridge and sink. A clean out house is directly behind the cabin and is shared with the tent campers next-door at my other listing so if you have pets please keep this is mind .  A futon is downstairs and areas for sleeping bags and air mattress upstairs . There is a squirrel that likes to move in upstairs , he thinks its his cabin. He will leave when you show up to give you space. The tv and DVD player are basic and tricky , if you want it user friendly ,plug your laptop into it or bring your own player . To keep costs down you MUST clean after yourselves , please vacuum and wipe down surfaces with the cleaners and paper towels available . Must pack out all garbage and clean up after pets. And leave the firepit areas and beach in orderly fashion for the next guest.  Ask about the paddle boat if you wish to try it .  Strict rules apply but no charge cancellation .Additionally  I do not rent to minors or large parties , please be courteous with noise and no loud music after 10pm thank you !    . jeff

Had a terrific one night stay in the cabin and I'd say it was exactly the "just get me outta the city" excursion I needed. Cabin is very cozy and well-insulated even in the cold, access to the lake is right in front of your door, very private and quiet, everything you need to be comfortable! I didn't do any fishing but I did take the kayak out on the water super early in the morning for a relaxing spin. Very reasonable price, very secure, and Jeff was very helpful and considerate with every step. Would highly recommend the stay if you don't need anything fancy.

Great spot! Rustic but comfy. Very pretty location. We brought our camping gear, but didn’t need anything else besides the bedding and our dishes. Water was easy and tasty. Thanks!

It’s more spacious inside than I expected and the dogs had Lots of room to run a muck and play outside. Jeff was very accommodating and prompt. If you don’t want to sleep on a futon or cot bring an air mattress. Also the heater is a beast once it kicks in so set it on 60-65 and be patient:) Perfect escape.

Rustic fisherman's A-frame cabin. Gorgeous view of the lake! The photos don't do this place justice. Perfect getaway during covid when it's so hard to stay safe and sane.

There was plentiful space up in the loft for at least 6 adults (3 on each side) upstairs, two adults on the futon, and at least one person on the floor/cott. Best part was there was and outhouse/electric/heat/hose water which is surprisingly hard to find in these older cabins. Tv, movies, lanterns, chairs, fishing poles, life jackets, utensils, fridge, mircowave, electric skillet, candles, radio. Place is definitely older but well loved and a great escape.

View of the lakeRight side of the upstairs (heaters and lots of space)Our queen size aiA Frame Cabin with loft Alpine Lake

My family and I had an amazing time at the cabin!! What a gem! The location was nice and secured with breathtaking views of the lake!

Jeff was a fantastic host! Super quick to respond and made us feel right at home! He even gave us a heads up that the lake was being filled with fish so my kiddos could watch! Thanks so much for sharing your cabin with us! We will definitely be back!

Fantastic amenities and location - felt just like camping with the comfort of a roof and heat! We will definitely be back many more times. Our four kids had a blast.

Lovely to stay right on the lake - the rustic feeling of camping but with a warm, dry place to sleep with running water. What else could you ask for!
