Erin and Terry have a great little community they are fostering. There are several other people that live on the land in some campers and the farm has some interns. I have built a yurt before with a friend, so it was exactly as I would expect. Ah, life in the round. The outhouse is actually a composting toilet, again something I have lived with before, and was what I expected. I had surprisingly great cell phone service with Verizon and had no issues using it for internet on my laptop and to stream some music.

Terry and Erin run a great little homestead and farm out in the North Cascades. They are on-the-go tending to the animals and keeping up their property- it was inspiring to see them building such a unique place! The road in is easy and the endless views and exploring that can be had, whether on the farm or up and down the North Cascades Highway, make the stay a true Pacific Northwest experience. The Yurt was perfect, and can hold many people with multiple beds and floor space. It was the perfect "glamping" experience for us, not uptight or spotless, but very cozy and familiar. We can't wait to go back and share Terry and Erin's amazing hospitality again soon :)

With plenty of sleeping options, the yurt would be a great place to come in a group. There is one queen, a full, a twin with a pullout bed, and the couch.A few of the sheep were timid, but most will come right up to you as long as you have food in hand!We were able to park right across from the yurt. Super convenient!Home sweet home!

We had a fantastic time at the cozy Forest Yurt this past weekend! Hosts were super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. It's located ~30mins away from the North Cascades national park, lots of hiking in the surrounding area!

We had an amazing experience at the Yurt/Palace. We felt as though we had stepped into an enchanted forest home. The exterior of the yurt is beautiful, and the interior invites you in to enjoy the skylight atop the tall ceiling, the wooden fixtures and comfortable beds. The yurt is equipped with everything you need from cooking utensils, a hot plate, a small refrigerator to a well stocked mini-library, comfortable couch and a wood-burning stove to keep the place warm and cozy. For facilities, there is a male-female urinal or an outdoor composting commode with locking doors. The property itself is beautiful. Terry and Erin run a farm/homestead and it really is a slice of paradise. It is evident that they love what they do and how much the farm means to them, especially when they share their yurt with travelers like ourselves. They were so kind and welcoming, but non-intrusive. We would recommend this place to everyone, and we would be staying here again.

This was an ok stay overall, but not spectacular. The yurt was nice and spacious, but there were some expected amenities that weren't available (there was not much water provided for our 4 day stay and no toilet paper). The lack of water made cooking difficult.

I expected the host to either send us a message with some info before arriving or for them to show us around the property, but we never heard from them. "You'll meet and greet with the host upon arrival" was misleading. Personally I don't care if I meet the host or not, but having some info on the place & amenities would have been good to have.

Really lovely and beautiful area though! Was out hiking and exploring most of the time.

We had a lovely time being snowed in at the Forest Yurt!

The yurt itself was spacious, clean and dry. The views were beautiful. There was plenty of firewood made available to us so we could keep warm (and the electric blankets were lifesavers).

Terry was very hospitable - he shared his knowledge of farming/homesteading with us and allowed us free range of the property so we could fully experience life with the farm animals, rope swing and snow. He even helped us make a run into town for supplies when we had trouble getting my vehicle moving in the snow.

It felt like much more of a community experience than a retreated one - I would recommend other campers to book here if they're looking for a fun, educational getaway.

Rustic, authentic, peaceful and full of love. Great setting. It was boys vacation that included dad and two boys 7, 10yrs. Foam kids toys, woodstove, electric blankets and other amenities in and around the yurt made it a great glamping experience. Kids spent time with animals, went for few hikes and we drove over to Diablo and Ross lakes. Terry, you are a great host!
