Allen has carved out beautiful sites  with awesome views of the western Virginia mountains. Chose  your own special piece of paradise. The property has multiple fields, the side of a forest covered mountain, and sites along the creek. We back up to Jefferson National Forest. This property is really more for the tent camper that does not need a lot of amenities. If you have a small RV ( like a tear drop) or vehicle you can sleep in, we do have flat fields that can accommodate you. Note, there is no water or electrical hookup. We have a nice pond in the back of the property located just before the mountain starts. We are more than happy to hike up the "hill" with you and show you some tent sites with spectacular views. Great for bird watchers and bikers alike!

This was by far the best camp I’ve ever experienced. The views you get in the morning and sun down are unbeatable. And if you go hiking early in the morning, you will find a plethora of deer waiting for you.

Overall the campsite was really nice- there's a beautiful lake, really nice shade, and a lot of fun frog croaking. It is right next to a cattle ranch; barbed wire and a gate separates the two lots. That would've been fine except my dog did run through the barbed wire while off leash.

That said, it was quite private, other than Allen, the very friendly host, stopping by every morning with his dogs. He offered us muffins, berries, and pancakes in the 3 days we were there and filled our water jugs. I'd recommend it to anyone who hasn't been in the area before!

Honestly I don’t won’t to leave a good review because I want this place to myself, lol! Therapeutic, relaxing, peaceful, mindful, beautiful, purposeful are just a few words that come to mind. Incredible views, wildlife habitat galore and the drive in was panoramic. The lush grass, poetic pond and crimson clover field looked like something from a magazine. I feel grateful to the owner for sharing this peace of heaven. Thank you!

This was a great place to stay! So friendly, and he even offered firewood and brought it over and everything. My dogs loved running around and playing in the pond and with the two dogs that live there. The land is sooo beautiful and it was so nice to start a fire and watch the sunset. There’s no cell service at all, but that didn’t bother me. It’s not hard to get back to where you can get service.

Natasha and I had an amazing experience at this location. I would highly recommanded it to anyone who is looking for a spot around that area. Ted was really great with the information we needed to get there and settle. Allen was an wonderful host. We had an great time talking to him and hearing his story and learning a lot about growing plants and trees. I loved both the dogs and miss them already. I would definitely visit again.
