This was an awesome romantic weekend for my girl and I. We’re both not the most outdoorsy people but this was perfect. Marvin is the best host ever and made us feel very welcome and was very helpful. We grilled, made s’mores, went to vineyard, and had an unforgettable experience; the indoor shower and toilet were lifesavers. Plus having an actually bed made our nights a lot more fun ;)
Solitude was everything in the picture and more. Perfect amount of space and comfortable. Just sitting on the porch and enjoying the fresh air and quiet comfort. Mr Marvin was a stupendous host and his hospitality unmatched. Celebrated my birthday and look forward to the next visit sooner rather than later. Everything was clean and set up. He got us the best fire going also! Amazing
We came for a quick getaway, loved it SO MUCH, we’re taking the kids back next weekend! We enjoyed shooting, exploring, and sharing stories with Marvin. We packed absolutely nothing and got everything we needed in town only 8 mins from the site. We cannot wait to make MANY more memories at Thornton Farm!

The Tiny Red House was perfect. We had shelter from the rain. Marvin has added some great touches. There are a couple more cooking items, like an air fryer and electric skillet. There is no running water in Tiny House but there is access to it close by. Marvin is always an attentive host. He treats us like family.
The scenery was wonderful, it was very peaceful, the location is definitely secluded so you would definitely have your full solitude of just nature, the land, the stars and everything else that comes with it. The host made sure the property was clean upon our arrival. The host was very warm, kind, and knowledgeable. Thank you for opening up your land to us we will be back soon very soon.
Tiny home is perfect for Glamping! Well stocked kitchen, comfy bed bathroom with a shower right next door.
This cabin and Marvin are true gems. I arrived to Marvin’s cabin after a day of visiting my brother in Richmond, stressed because I hadn’t gotten a chance to finish my work. I pulled up to Marvin setting up the fire for me, the kind of hosting touch I didn’t know I needed. The home is impeccably clean, cleaner than any Airbnb or hotel room I’ve been in. He is a wonderful person and I felt safe on the property, especially knowing he was just a text away. I also loved the fact that I was staying on a Black owned farm, which has been in his family since the early 1900s. I highly recommend staying here!
I loved staying in Marvin’s tiny house! It was so cozy, there were incredibly thoughtful touches (including great artwork by his daughter), and it felt like a home away from home! My friends and I enjoyed the fire pits, got to play giant jenga, and explore the surrounding land at our leisure.
Marvin really makes sure to welcome you to the property and then gives you all the privacy you want/need to enjoy the space and land! So grateful we got to spend time at this site.
Ps: the sunrise and sunset on this property are unreal. Make sure to wake up early and grab a seat outside to enjoy!

Marvin is an excellent host. Very accommodating. His land has all tou need. Our family and friends live his place.
