Hello! We are family farm mainly focused on goats, kunekune pigs, and silkie chickens! We also have peacocks, quail, and rabbits. We have a couple small wooded areas that haven’t really been touched other than the cows that used to roam the property when the previous owners ran an Angus production. We can offer as much or as little farm experience as you’d like. Baby goat cuddling and farm tours can be added on for an extra fee, just ask us! We usually get up early and do our farm chores, and depending on the time of year we could be bottle feeding baby goats or working on outdoor farm projects. Our home was built in 1864 and our barn around 1900. Our property is not far from Montpelier, the home of our 4th president, and about an hour from Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello. We love wine tasting in Charlottesville, and taking day trips to Shenandoah National Park. We are 45 minutes from Fredericksburg, 28 minutes from Culpeper, and 20 minutes from Lake Anna. Send us a message and learn more about all we have to offer!

My husband and I had a wonderful time on the farm meeting the baby goats, pigs, chickens, peacocks, cows,,roosters, turkeys, and bunnies. All the animals were so friendly and the goats even followed us as we were walking along. We enjoyed an evening fire, looking at the stars, went for a nice bike ride, and loved the farm tour. Laura and her husband were very helpful when we had a slight problem with our RV offering to assist. The property is beautiful. We highly recommend.
A great farm experience
We had a fantastic time on Laura's farm! The site was level and generous - we stayed near the picnic tables. We had a nice tour where we held tiny baby bunnies, held some baby goats, fed some cow calves and visited some friendly pigs. Laura had firewood available when we ran out.
Overall, definitely recommended -- just be prepared -- the roosters start early!
Very cute and relaxing camping setup. Good sized camp site with plenty of room. Outhouse was very nice and convenient. Provided firewood was a big plus as well! The farm is very close to the campsite -- a nice morning walk to visit with all the animals. Laura was a wonderful host and gave us a full farm tour with lots of interaction with the animals. Highly recommended!
Fun friday on the farm
Happy Meadow Farm was a great place to bring my animal loving cousin for her first camping excursion. Laura was so friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed cuddling the baby goats, the baby bunnies, and all of the other animals. Electricity and toilet available is a plus, and they provided firewood which I thought was a nice touch. I highly recommend for families with small children and anyone who may not be very experienced with camping. This is a great place to start!
We spent Easter weekend camping at Laura’s farm. We had a wonderful and unique experience. Laura is very friendly and her farm is full of cute animals, it’s like camping in a petting zoo. This farm located near Montpelier, Shenandoah park and UVA, has a food lion nearby too.
Great stay with the cutest goats!
Laura’s farm was great ! She even brought us firewood and all the necessary fire supplies when we arrived. She happily showed us all Her animals
Included baby goats and bunnies. I would happily stay here again when traveling through the area.
Kids had a blast!
Our visit to this farm was fantastic! Laura was a great host and provided firewood and a barrel for a fire pit. She has a working farm and took our kids on a tour to let the baby goats, pigs, bunnies, and more. They were thrilled. We camped in a private nook down a little hill. Gorgeous land and would definitely recommend to others.
