Get away from it all and relax in nature. We have rolling pasture, old wood forest, streams and two ponds on our property. Beautiful tranquil views everywhere. We have a small pond with all kinds of frogs, spring peepers. We also have a larger pond that has catch and release fishing. We have a 13x13 canvas bell tends with a real queen bed, wood stove, a small solar generator for charging, pot and pans, utensils, dishes mugs, pillows, sheets, and blankets. Outside we have an “outhouse”, fire pit, chairs, and a table, a gas grill and an egg grill. We also provide a camp stove for cooking. We have a pond in front of the tent, old woods, pasture and creeks. We also have a larger pond on the property you can catch and release fish. We have many different wild herbs and a ton of black walnut trees, (help yourself to the black walnuts in the fall)

The Camp at Fairy Glen
Woodland comfort and serenity
John and Suzanne were gracious hosts and their woodland retreat is serene with lovely views. The White Duck canvas bell tent (an Avalon model) is spacious and functional with plenty of screened windows to unzip for ventilation. The zippered, bug mesh-lined windows and tent flaps permit free air flow while excluding insects. The foam mattress on the queen-sized bed is comfortable, and plenty of blankets and sleeping bags allow you to snuggle in for a peaceful night's rest, accompanied by bird songs. Chopped and split firewood is provided and the wood stove lights easily and burns efficiently. The string lights which adorn the deck operate off mini solar panels, as does a string of fairy lights that provide ambiance in the outhouse, which is clean, tidy, and equipped with toilet paper. At this time, a fire ban remains in place for this part of Virginia, so we did not get to enjoy the fire pit. However, the wooden table and comfortable chairs provided a lovely view of a small pond as we cooked over a camp stove. We brought our own water; well water is available. We brought a butane stove, but the hosts provide a Coleman two-burner camp stove and one-pound propane canisters. There is little traffic near the wooded campsite. This is the only tent there. Be sure to print out turn-by-turn directions to the site because cell phone reception at this location is non-existent. Just look for the Fairy Glen shingle sign, then follow a gravel road to the site and you'll be fine.

Relaxing no stress glamp
I loved the cute bell tent and string lights. Our hosts were very accommodating and friendly. My friend, my wife, my pup and I enjoyed playing board games over some tea and the wood burning stove. I slept on the floor and was very comfortable. The outhouse was incredibly clean. Enjoyed a beautiful close to full moon view of light over the pond.
