Kirstin and Dale were wonderful hosts and their property is a slice of heaven. Kirstin’s directions were perfect and accessible for our Prius. We stayed at Site 1 and pitched our tent right in time to catch the most beautiful sunset. They had the fore going for us and the tea lights on.
They have so many amenities and toys for our toddlers - outdoor shower with warm water, outhouse, fresh water and electrical hookups.
Our boys loved jumping off the deck and playing in the sand. And our whole family loved jumping on the canoe and kayaks and paddling around the lake.
The entire property is owned by the hosts and their family. And they welcomed is like we were family. Kirstin greeted us with homemade treats for our two dogs. Dale invited songs to feed the fish and turtles at night and let them grab the rod when he caught a couple fish.
The best part though is the night time experience. The sounds of the crickets and drugs and vote of the stars was priceless.
This is the perfect stay for families. Sure 1 is next to the family’s house so if you’re looking for a more private stay -consider Site 2.
We’ll be back!

This spot was so so sweet and the PERFECT location for our first camping trip with our small son. The family on the property is SO kind and accommodating! They provide 2 set up picnic tables, a port-a-potty, and a spacious changing "tent." We loved our little beach on the property, and had so much fun playing in the pond. We will definitely return!
Hosts were VERY welcoming and accommodating. Chigger’s Creek truly is a slice of heaven. You have everything you need and more. Has running faucet plus outdoor showers. Site is right at the water for accessible swimming/fishing/kayaking/canoeing. Which hosts have available for use. Such a relaxing weekend getaway. TOTALLY recommend.

Kirstin was very accommodating and responsive before and during the trip. Even gave us a cool sticker. The site on the lake is extremely beautiful. Outdoor shower could use a bit more privacy and outdoor bathroom isn’t amazing, but it’s camping right?
Lots of frogs/tadpoles on the small beach, took a canoe ride on the lake, quite picturesque. Would certainly stay here again. Thanks Kirstin.
Beautiful lake and very piece full and quiet. Easy to get to with the directions she sent. She brought out home cooked treats for my pup and they lit me a fire. Very clean area, kayaks, canoes, beach areas, and a fire pit. I will say it’s only about 100yards from the house to site 2 so if you’re looking to be way off by yourself probably not the best. But the hosts are great and friendly and I’d definitely recommend for a little last minute getaway.
First time I’ve booked through this app & honestly, the hosts were super friendly, kind, and overall amazing people. It was bittersweet to have left, but can definitely count on coming back. This place was a nice getaway from everyday life and definitely family-friendly as well. Thank you guys, for allowing us the opportunity to set up & camp out.
A true gem not too far from the city. An absolute 5 star experience in every aspect. Amazing property and hosts exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you.

In her welcome note before we arrived, Kirsten said "welcome to our little slice of heaven" - it was, indeed, just that!
My partner and I had a much needed getaway to spend time with the water, the ducks, catch some fish, and gaze at the stars. Although Kristen is just a stone's throw away in her (beautiful) house, she is a host who will leave you space when you want but hop in with a helping hand and a delicious pumpkin muffin whenever needed.
If you prefer more solitude I would recommend site 2, but site 1 was a lovely home for our two night stay. We had zero complaints... aside from having to leave ;)
