Not only did the views look amazing, you get a true sense of people who do what they love. There is a restaurant ran by the family and it's amazing. You feel welcome the moment you step foot on the property. Can not recommend it enough.
We had a wonderful time! Host is very nice. We only stayed one night and it was raining the majority of the time but we still had one of the best camping experiences yet. Our 7 and 2 year old loved seeing the cows scattered around the mountains and we all loved the amazing views the sites offer. We plan on coming back to stay longer and bringing our Australian Shepherd. The general store is lovely and the baked goods are amazing. We can't wait to plan our next stay. Cannot recommend this place enough.
We stayed at Mattie's place over Thanksgiving week and it was very cold! But the benefit was that there were no other campers in Mattie's field. Beautiful views of Burke's Garden, with fantastic sunset and sunrise. Well built out firepit and a ton of firewood available. Mattie's store is just down the hill and she has freshly baked bread and other items, plus hot breakfast available. Great spot to stay for a night as we explored Burke Garden for the day.
