Campers can choose to set up at the edge of our field or tucked into the enchanting sugar bush (maple orchard). A communal summer kitchen, outhouses, fire pits and picnic tables are available on site. Roughly a five minute walk from the parking lot, our farm stand, gardens and greenhouses. Potable drinking water along with wi-fi is also available next to the main house.

Firewood is free to collect from the forest floor and dry bundles are available for sale. We ask that guests DO NOT bring wood from outside Vermont as invasive insects and species are easily spread this way.

Organic produce, grab & go salads, pure maple syrup and CBD products are available for purchase throughout the summer. We want to inspire you to unplug on the farm and allow nature recharge your body and mind. Guests have the opportunity to harvest produce and tour our farm, explore the historic sugarbush, and relax in the quiet Vermont countryside. Hike, bike, paddle and swim in nearby lakes and the beautiful green mountains. We highly encourage you to visit the numerous breweries, spirit and wine makers, cheese caves, and farmers markets within a short radius of our farm. This is a rich agricultural area with a large locavore population, we are honored to be stewards for this land and want to share its beauty with you!

Sandiwood farm was a wonderful Vermont organic farm experience.

You arrive and see this beautiful home, a farm stand and a series of greenhouses. We were instantly greeted by the welcoming host, Sara, the farmer who has put in a few decades tending this land alongside her husband Bob. She showed us around the property, the community kitchen, the locations of the portapotties (Most clean I've ever experienced) and communal amenities like the stone arch way that leads to large fire pit surrounded by benches. She even let us taste some of her fresh harvest of sugar snap peas, a special treat. We were then shown where we'd be staying that night and left to enjoy our stay in peace and quiet with the open invitation to come and explore the farm and visit the community kitchen whenever.

We stayed in the lovely red tiny house across the field from the main house/greenhouses. The tall grass and wildflower covered field is large enough to help you feel completely private without being too far away from the amenities. It also provides expansive mountain views that will content any one who takes a second to enjoy it.

Those views could also be seen through the tiny house windows. They open, allowing for a nice breeze and have screens to keep the insects out! The cafe table with two chairs is set up in the most picturesque corner. The host included lovely touches like a tablecloth and fresh cut flowers. They provide a jug of water and you have the option to fill it back up at the community kitchen a short beautiful stroll away.

They have a comfortable full sized pull couch that perfectly fit my daughter and I. Bring your own bedding or Sara will provide some for a small fee of $20. Our night was crisp and cool, even following our 80 degree summer day. A light comforter with an extra blanket made it just right! I'd also suggest to bring an extra layer to wear if you're an early riser!

The site is convenient because there is an easy route through the field that will allow you to park next to the tiny house. You can stay busy exploring the greenhouses, produce fields, maple orchards and operational sugar shack. Or if you need any suggestions for what to do in town, Sara has all the information you'll need in this area full of culinary and outdoor-lover goodness.

Sandiwood has a few other tiny homes on the property that you can stay at. Some still in progress, but there is a completed tiny house tucked away in the woods surrounding the field if you prefer that scenery over the mountain views. That site had a pull out couch and a loft bed, a great space for a party of three or four. Tent camping is also an option, with a platform in the fern covered maple orchard in the works.

Oh and side note: You'd be surprised to know, during our stay we didn't pick up a single tick exploring through the fields and woods. What a nice perk!

Screened in windows that opened for the perfect evening breeze. farmOr skip the picnic table and drop a blanket. The first thing you'll see when you pull into the long drive ways, the most adorable farmstand.

We stayed in the red tiny house and enjoyed panoramic sunsets and sweeping views of the farm with mountain background. A Private spot with room to explore. A short drive to Hill Farmstead and Lost Nation breweries as well as Cady’s falls, a great little swimming hole. Sara was very accommodating. We would definitely camp here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sandiwood Farm. We had beautiful star-filled nights that we could see from our futon, the kitchen was really fun and easy to use, the maple syrup sample they left (which they make on the farm) was fantastic. Sara and her husband are super friendly; Sara provided a few suggestions for things to do which made for an awesome day in the Northeast Kingdom. We are now trying to figure out how to bring the good times and experience to our suburban home (supplementing the additional syrup).

Sarah was so welcoming and accommodating. She met us when we got there and showed us around the common areas and then brought us to a few possible sites to pitch our tent. She checked in with us casually throughout our stay and offered up some great hiking and swimming spots. We couldn't have been more happy with the accommodations, host and gorgeous, serene atmosphere!

We have such a nice visit to Sandiwood Farm! The host was easy to communicate with and so kind upon arrival and throughout our whole stay. She gave us a bag of fresh green beans and a sample of their maple syrup. What a nice treat! Both Sarah and her husband were very kind and helpful. We stayed in the larger cabin with the loft and it was lovely. It was secluded, but sat on the large open meadow, so you could see the sunrise from the loft. It was very very clean. We brought our two young kids and they loved running around the meadow and through the wooded area. We enjoyed a fire in the evening and the next morning. We were able to bring a pack n play for our youngest and had plenty of space for it. There is no running water, but we made do just fine. There is a few fun things to do nearby. We went to a small nearby town with a lovely hiking area and lake beach for swimming.
We hope to come back again!

Sara and Bob were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The cabin was perfect for a cold fall weekend. Great location, not far from many breweries, hikes, and other attractions. We will definitely be back.
