Cozy Mountain Cabin

The Cozy Mountain Cabin was great! Very rustic, exactly what i was looking for. Very clean and tidy. Caroline was very responsive. The wood burning stove was great! Very useful for the chilly nights.
The only compliant i had, was a house behind the cabin, which you could barely see, and wouldnt have been an issue, except that there were vehicles coming in and out and it took away from the quiet i was personally looking for.

First hip-camp experience and it was just as I expected. Quiet off-grid cabin with the sound of a stream in the background. Arrived on a cold and rainy day - host Caroline started a fire and got the cabin warmed up prior to my arrival. Cabin is off of small dirt road. Cabin was quaint, clean and well-kept with a knotty-pine trimmed interior. Plenty of chairs, board games, and basic kitchen supplies.

Awesome Cabin. Very peaceful and adventurous too. Especially river sound though loved it.

What a perfect Labor Day weekend at Cozy Cabin - shortly after arriving, Caroline and family stopped by to offer us some freshly picked tomatoes, peppers, and carrots. They provided us with some great information and it didn't take long to determine that these were some seriously generous, kind hearted folks!

Caroline was very attentive and packed the cabin with everything you could possibly need for a weekend getaway - board games, towels, toilet paper, trash bags, cleaning supplies, dishes, silverware, fuel, and firewood. Reminder to bring your own water, lighting, and bedding as this is a rustic cabin.

The property was mowed and the cabin was clean. There were a few campsites up the road, a handful of visitors passed by the cabin on their way up - nothing that took away from our seclusion or enjoyment. We had a great first night for stargazing and were able to get some great pics.

The cabin was quiet and rustic, and the nearby town of Manchester is a little gem. Overall I would highly recommend this listing as one of the premiere Hipcamp locations in southern Vermont - thanks Hartshorn family for sharing your space with us!

The Cozy Mountain Cabin held true to its name! We spent a February weekend, with subzero temperatures outside, and stayed toasty warm inside (of course not without the midnight dates with the wood stove). The location is tucked into the mountains with the most beautiful snowy scenery.

My sister and I rented the cabin as a gift for my dad for Christmas. He always talks about his younger days winter camping so we tried to help him recreate the feeling a little bit. He had a great time and we loved exploring around the cabin. Now he wants to go back in the summertime!

Caroline was extremely responsive and available to answer any questions or concerns. The cabin is well built and very charming. Book it now!

The cabin was great, the lot was great.
The approach to the access road was not identified.
Maybe a little more info could have been helpful.
I guess I thought that some form of bedding matt would be available. The propane lamp on a wood girder was scary.
Another form of lighting could have been supplied. ( battery)
It was a beautiful camp. I should have been better prepared for no available water. But that's camping.The scary part was the dilapidated
camps up the path a bit. Nothing you can do about that.
I did have a dog and protection so I was in good shape.

The cabin was exceptional! Very cozy and roomy. We would definitely come back again.
