Full RV hookups
Electrical, water, and sewage hookups are available at all sites.
Enjoy the peaceful tranquility of the Medina River from our quiet retreat. Wade, float, hike along the shallow, clean-flowing river. Extra tall 8 foot privacy fence and gate, covered site for your RV with deck, tall trees, overlook deck and 50 ft. river access. We provide water and electricity (two 50 amp and two 20 amp connections for your RV), and septic connection. Drive in and park under our tall, protected carport and back up upon leaving. BBQ on the deck and watch the stars at night. Enjoy nearby town of Bandera, Hill Country Natural Area and Lost Maples State Park. Susie and I own the cabin next door, which we host on Airbnb. There may be guests at the cabin. Your site is entirely private. We do not live on site. We are prepared to assist if needed if you contact us by phone or the HipCamp app. We are in the process of building a Tiny House on the site. We plan to rent the site to one guest at a time to offer the most privacy and best experience possible. The Medina River borders the property. You will need to climb stairs to reach the river, where you can wade in the shallow, clean waters. You can birdwatch or my favorite activity, sit on a rock and watch the river flow. The sunsets on the river are remarkable. The site is located ten miles from the town of Bandera, where there are restaurants and stores in the old frontier style. The city park is lined by centuries old cypress and is a fun stop. Bandera Natural Area is a good place for hiking. The best time of year to visit is the spring, early summer, all during the fall. Hipcampers will love the privacy, natural setting and the river. There is the gentle sound of the current as it flows past, the sound of birds (cardinals, jays, herons and hawks, among others). Amenities include our covered deck, covered parking for your RV, fossil hunting on the river and north facing views of the night sky.Enjoy the tranquility our RV site on the banks of the Medina River. Site equipped with water and septic hook up, with deck and cover, bbq pit, campfire site, overlook deck, mature trees on the clean, flowing Medina. You can wade in the shallow, peaceful water, enjoy birdwatching, hiking and watching the river flow.

Wonderful stay!
I traveled to Kerrville for some volunteer work and needed a place to stay in my camper. I have three dogs and long work days when I am there. I needed a place where they could have more room than a campground after being stuck in the camper all day. I love my privacy as well. This place is so beautiful, peaceful, and private! The deck overlooking the river is amazing! There is a big fence with a gate that locks. I felt like my camper was secure there when I was gone. My host, Linda, was very sweet, and maintained constant quick communication when I had questions. I tried to stay here last summer, but she was booked. There is a huge carport for a camper and one for a car. A covering for a camper is a must during the summer in TX! Also a great shelter from rain while sitting on the deck next to the camper. I hope to visit again. I think it took me 40 min to get to Kerrville and 20 to Bandera to go shopping, eat and hit the country bars! What a fun town!

Relaxing river site
Very beautiful setting. The host was very informative and helpful making sure everything met our needs. Once you are at the site it is very relaxing. The deck is beautiful and have a nice view of the river. It is easy to get down to the river. It is not very deep, but running and very peaceful. Would definitely go back. Thank you!
