The Sticks: The Whole Dang Island
The path down to the river is steep, pack light, and stay a couple nights at least. Its a lil bit of paradise.

Book the whole island for your crew! We did and loved the privacy. Great, chill, low water traffic location. Great hosts and extras. Sat in the rushing shallow waters of the river for hours. Feeling brand new. Keep in mind that its a steep path down to camp so pack light or have many hands to make the work light. We'll be back! Enjoy!

Awesome place with beautiful view, sitting in water can be relaxing and fun. We were a group of 11 and we had ample of space for camping, grilling and for building a fire.

The Sticks - Camping on the River
This site was amazing! The river was beautiful and so refreshing. My dogs especially loved being able to run free and play in the river. I loved the peace and serenity. I will say that depending on how much gear you need for camping, you need to be reasonably fit to cart everything down the stairs and across the stream, and then back up when you leave.

Great place if you like private camping spots and easy river access. Our hosts were very sweet and accommodating. We ordered the breakfast oatmeal and bowl...both delicious. They delivered our ice and firewood right to our camp site and the river float was definitely worth the $20. We will definitely return when the weather cools down!

The Sticks - Camping on the River
We’ve stayed at the island twice now, and both times have been FANTASTIC. It’s beautiful, private, and a true dream. We watched the sunset and floated down the river.
One thing to note is that you float to somewhere the opposite bed of the river, so it’s quite a trek to drop cars off/make arrangements. They weren’t able to shuttle us at this weekend, so maybe we could have avoided that, but just something to note!
The hosts are incredible and met us right when we got there helping us navigate the island. The bridge was washed away with the storm but I’m sure they will get it back soon, and with the bridge it is super easy to get all belongings down to the campsite.
We will definitely be camping there again! Great vibes.
