We had a wonderful time! Raymond was a great host, and the property was beautiful. We loved having our morning coffee on Angel Island, watching the ducks waddle into the pond, and sitting by the fire at night. It was an excellent spot to set up the camper for a couple of nights. We'd definitely recommend it!

The area was very clean and beautiful. It was very easy navigating to the area and there was a hipcamp sign at the entrance, making it easier for us to discover. Definitely coming back again to enjoy.

We were just looking for a safe place to stay the night on our way to Galveston. This place was so beautiful that I wish we were able to spend more time there! Communication was great and I recommend this spot to anyone in the area.

Blown away with how amazing of a time we had here. Raymond was extremely hospitable and gorgeous views. Not to mention I pulled 10+ largemouth bass out of that pond in one weekend. Definitely coming back as soon as I can.

Ray's place was fantastic. We came in late September and there were no snakes, no bugs, just a bunch of interesting spiders we know kept the mosquitoes at bay. We had privacy and room to roam, a clean porta potty and access to water and electric at other close by camps. The water was great to cool off in and having our camp so close to the water made it easy to multi-task with the kids nearby playing/swimming. Just enough tree spacing for two hammocks in our particular spot. Would highly recommend again for first time campers or for a convenient to town location that has all the needs. He even had duck eggs and fresh honey from his bees that added the finishing touches to our relaxing and fun filled weekend.

Interesting little companion Duck eggsThe space closest to the water with the most tree coverage

It's obvious these hosts care about their property and guests. Large property. The sites near the back are the most peaceful. Pretty pond and you can even use their paddle boat.
