Are you seeking a basic spot to witness the celestial spectacle in Boerne, Texas?
Simply park your RV and gaze at the sun from our grassy grounds. Leave nothing behind but your payment and take home only pictures of the moon photobombing the sun.
Remember to bring your generator, toilet, and solar eclipse glasses. A dump station is conveniently located down the road at Guadalupe State Park and another at Alamo Fiesta RV. Please note: we do not offer hookups here.
While water is available in case of emergencies, we recommend arriving with a full tank.
Please adhere to the county order: no open flames allowed.
Our terrain is unfinished, ranging from 3% to 6% gradient. It drains well, but in the event of heavy rainfall, expect muddy conditions. Rest assured, we'll mow and tidy up the area before your arrival. While there may be some ants, scorpions, etc., feel free to bring pesticides to spray your designated area. Sticker burrs are minimal. For added security, the property is gated, but remember to keep your pet leashed at all times.
We are offering eclipse camp services for 20 to 30 spots only. There are no assigned areasâfirst come, first served. Ensure to maintain a minimum distance of 40 feet from your neighbor and avoid parking on the driveway.The Big Boerne Boondock site is quite simply a large 10 acre gently sloped, mostly grassy field. There are some rocks and sticks and holes, but our zero turn mower can handle ~85% of the area with the blade at a medium height.
We are located within 1 mile of the Boerne city limits. You must bring your own water, and you may not dump any blackwater. Supervised grey water dumping is allowed in a designated area, if necessary, after the eclipse. There is no electricity, but the temperatures should be nice on these dates.
There is an electronic gate that we will greet you at to let you in. The property is fenced, but pets must stay on a leash. We live on the property, behind the area where you will be staying.
You may pick any grass spot on our front 10 acres to park your RV. If it has rained, there is a chance it will be muddy, but the property tends to drain well after a rain. 4 wheel drive is encouraged because of the chance of rain.
The best spots are up by the treeline, so get here early to grab those first. Please be considerate and consider other campers' ability to come in and park, and also their ability to leave, without your rig being in the way. Your area is limited to your RV and the 25 feet around it in all directions.
You will enter through the gate, and immediately turn right into the field. You will be provided with a map showing recommended routes that keep you on best terrain. It will be freshly mowed in the ideal areas. There will likely only be 20 to 30 sites offered, and this is an eclipse-only event, not a regular camp site. By using it, you agree that the usage is a site-service agreement for the recreational activity of eclipse viewing, and you are not renting or leasing our land for housing.
No offroad vehicles/toys/dirtbikes/UTVs are allowed. You agree that you and your guests are using the site at your own risk, and that there are inherent hazards associated with driving and camping on uneven, irregular terrain. A waiver of liability will be required to be signed, and will be provided by email upon booking.
