Good campground, wifi and showers
The first thing to appreciate is this campsite is a significant distance from the Telingua ghost town. It's also an hour and change from Big Bend. So be sure to map it out. (I didn't.) The accommodations are good. The campground is part of a hotel complex. You get access to the pool and showers for free. There is a decent restaurant. You can use their WiFi. Hipcamp only said there was one vacancy but there were at least a dozen spots open. It was windy but that's Texas. The people there are very nice. I recommend it if you can't get a spot in Big Bend. But as I said definitely map it out. So you're not surprised if you end up with a long drive

Great campground with an awesome pool and cafe. Lots of amenities for a campground that feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere! The host gave us good instructions for access.

Didn’t meet my needs
This didn’t work for me. I specifically chose it because there was WiFi and was planning on a work day. There was NO WiFi not even standing in the middle of the office area. I hope this will be updated on the website. Also was unable to do laundry due to staff doing laundry. WiFi showers and laundry can be really important for weary travelers. The staff was very nice. The night sky was amazing!

Camping with animals and amenities
Terlingua Ranch is incredible! You can’t go wrong with this place. The location is absolutely gorgeous, tucked into the foothills of a mountain with a perfect view of the night sky. The camp sites are well marked with an easy check in and have picnic tables and fire rings (bring your own firewood!) and are decently private so long as the place isn’t full. Our site had tons of wildlife all around us, including several packs of Javelinas we could see and hear rummaging the the nearby wash. The bathrooms are VERY clean and have showers. There is a very new disc golf course, which can be a bit hard to follow but it’s right beside the lodge and camping sites. Having the cafe nearby is excellent for getting access to WiFi when you need it, and the food is really good. Live music in the evenings was another huge plus and it’s one of the most scenic spots to have music just outside the cafe. The place is easy to find, just follow Terlingua ranch road and you come straight to the main check in, but the last few miles are dirt road. Also, watch for animals running across the road! The drive to Big Bend is also very easy. I chose this place last minute as I was preparing for a trip to see the eclipse, but it ended up being a highlight of the trip and I can’t recommend the place enough. John is an awesome host!
