This property was so beautiful! Highly recommend the Ashe juniper location for the farthest back and most secluded location! The woods/trees you walk through to get there is so amazing. David was such a gem giving a quick tour of the property and amenities. I’ve stayed at a few different Hipcamp locations around San Antonio, and this is by far our favorite! Will be back again!
This is our second time staying here. Me and my family absolutely love it. David is an amazing person who checks on his tenants and provides excellent services and is very communicative.
We felt amazing returning to the campsite after long years! We see future trips! Thank you so much, David!

Overall it was a great experience. Really cool amenities and lots of great hammock hanging trees. Unfortunately, there was quite a bit of highway noise. The dogs were also around us quite a bit, especially when food was out. Some folks might really like this, but it wasn’t ideal for us. David was very kind about getting the dogs back to their own space and was very accommodating.
After over three dozen stays at Overalls and Bird Calls (aka Cibolo Gardens Nature Preserve), I think I'm qualified to recommend staying there. I keep going back because, not only is Dave a great host, the land is beautiful, and the amenities are convenient. There is a lot available to you if you're an inexperienced camper or if your gear fails you. The place is a hidden gem. I almost don't want to recommend it so I can keep it to myself, but it would be a shame to keep people from enjoying such a nice destination. I always return refreshed after a weekend there. Do yourself a favor and book a few days. Or more.
A fantastic place! David is an amazing host with beautiful land just outside San Antonio. As someone who hammock camps I tend to be slightly concerned about having trees spaced out just right and he has them in abundance. The two campsites are walking distance from the field kitchen which has its own lighting and my personal favorite, the shower.
The water gets hot and the pressure high! The two puppies Dozer and Silly paid me a visit and just like David are perfect hosts. I stayed here when I worked overnight in San Antonio and this is now my go to place.
I loved the feeling of bring in the woods but the site was open and has a lot of room to move around. Great sunset views. Can't wait to go again.
The campsite was amazing, felt like I was in the woods. David was great let us use a wagon to take all of our stuff to the campsite. I loved the outside shower, better than what I have at home lol. The kitchen was great made it so easy to do dishes. Can't wait to stay there again.

I’ve been camping here twice now, and each time was amazing. I love the conservation mindset the whole place has, maintaining its natural beauty. It’s the perfect place to go just barely outside of town. I love the community amenities available, it makes everything low stress knowing if I left something behind they will probably have it! David is always a pleasure and super willing to help. Can’t wait to go back!!

It's in the woods but close enough to get to town if need be. The camping area is clean you have a out door kitchen pool. The host David is nice friendly responds quickly when you message and takes care of anything you need otherwise you won't see him. I look forward to returning.

David was responsive and helpful. Beautiful treed spot, as secluded as can be so near developments. It’s wonderful how David is ensuring this property is conserved and developed into a sustainable community. It was a great place to camp complete with field kitchen, composting toilet and potable water as well as a number of other amenities available. I highly recommend staying here if you’re in the San Antonio area or just passing through..
This is one of the best camping spots I’ve been to in a long time where it actually feels like camping. meaning there is no huge lodge that makes you feel like you’re at band camp, just you and your surroundings . Everything is set up so that nature can show its true beauty… My wife and son(1yo) had so much fun 10/10 would recommend!!!

Five stars! Camping on David’s land was fantastic. The presence of dogs on the property added to the charm, and the outdoor kitchen made cooking a delight. With great amenities and surrounded by peaceful nature, it was the perfect escape.
This was a great experience! Lots of nice amenities like a camp kitchen, shower, electric power for charging battery packs in central areas, very nice tent site locations.
David was a terrific host, very friendly and knowledgeable, he showed us around the site and was present to give information about the campground and the area. We highly recommend it and will certainly stay there again if/when we are in the area.

David was very accommodating while we were there. He met us at the parking area and showed us all the campsites and the amenities. Our campsite was private and surrounded by trees. The camp kitchen was a great addition to the experience. There is also lots of land to explore.
The property is amazing — well-maintained pool, shower, outdoor kitchen, potable water, and compost toilet. The campsites are also shaded and super nice/separated. There are two friendly dogs and even a classroom with board games and wifi. This is the best camping experience I’ve had in San Antonio. Recommend to anyone! Best bang for your buck camping/glamping I’ve ever seen!
We had the best time on David’s land! He was helpful & super accommodating. You won’t want to overlook this place if you’re wanting a secluded feel with the luxuries of glamping. You can tell he has put a lot of care into the property and the natural surrounding. WE WILL BE BACK!

Great place! The tent sites are nice with lots of trees and the camp kitchen is awesome. There’s plenty of space to hike and explore. We took the fossil tour and learned about the history of the property. It was a great weekend trip.
David was amazing he showed us the land, all the site options, amenities, and told us about the mission with his preserve. Such an amazing place to stay!

Great spot for our 3 month old baby to experience her first camping trip. Lots of great amenities, beautiful sunsets and peaceful energy. Everything was also very clean and well taken care of, thanks David!
David our host was very laid back and extremely accommodating. The provisions provided (field kitchen, hot shower, compost toilet) was a great resource while still giving you the feeling of ruffing it. I would highly recommend. The only concern is the large amount of dead foliage is an increase fire Hazzard. (Mother Nature's fault not David's!)

I had a great time here. David was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the campsite and the amenities. It would've taken me a few days to make use of everything there was to offer. The fossil tour was fun and interesting and I left with a unique souvenir of my trip.
