You've reached the page for information and reservation of our fully furnished and new Zen Den glamping canvas bell tent.

The Zen Den is a 13-foot, 4-season canvas bell tent on a 16-foot wood platform, and separate firepit area that is all yours to enjoy in the Woods section. Electrical strip, wall-to-wall new carpet, 1 Queen mattress (wrapped) on a platform bed off the ground, bedding, pillows galore, 2 tables, 2 chairs, lamp, basket of blankets, heater, box fan, games for 2, books, lantern light, and a supply tote (includes flashlight, kleenex, paper towels, Lysol wipes, first-aid kit, room freshener spray, plug in air pump for blow-up mattresses, extra electrical extension cord, etc.) The Zen Den also includes a must have Kuerig coffee pot, coffee, tea, water, 2 Adirondack firepit chairs, firepit, solar lights, and more! Cedar mulch and shade plants are planted around the front trees. Good view of the front area of The Woods section of the camp. Organic strawberry field to the right. FYI - the bed is made and readied for you on the day that you are scheduled to arrive and before you step in. Lastly, there will be enough kindling and firewood at the site for a nice fire.  Should you need more, feel free to select as an Extra item on Hipcamp during the reservation process, or buy at the camp for $5 per kindling bundle and $8 per firewood bundle.

4-season.  It sleeps 2 people comfortably in the queen bed with bedding.  If your group is more than 2 people, (4 people max, 5 if some of them are little kids), please bring your own additional sleeping materials (blow-up mattress and/or sleeping bags, pillows, blankets, etc.). We supply the queen bed with bedding.

In general, it's a relax and chill kind of space.  Watch campers come and go from The Woods at a distance.

Come and "rough it" with us in #southtexas, Plantersville, TX farm and ranch country. 🤠 40 minutes Northwest of the Greater Houston area. Where the TX Hill Country 🌄 meets the Piney Woods🌲.

Our camp is a TX shaded oasis for nature lovers. Adjacent to our camp is Jollisant Farms, where you will find berry/pumpkin/veggie picking and fishing (check their open hours/seasons on their website). Mr. Jollisant's strawberries will be ready for picking December 15th! We are near the Texas Renaissance Festival, Bernhardt Winery (see their website for live free music schedule - family and pet friendly), and 20 min. to the infamous Lake Conroe. Grimes Co. is where it's at! A getaway for the soul...

New shaded campground in Plantersville, TX. Dispersed, primitive camping available for both tent and RV camping (dry), as well as a newly erected glamping canvas bell tents. One 2-bedroom cabin, two 1-bedroom cabins, and more furnished glamping canvas bell tents available soon. Into stargazing? Then hanging out in The Courtyard is for you. Want to immerse yourself in The Woods? Our dreamy forest and soft fairy lights are sure to delight.

There is electric on-site so guests can charge phones and other important items. Outlets are located at The Outpost (large cabin front porch) in The Courtyard. Fiber wifi available at the Outpost and much of the Courtyard as well. (Not so "primitive", haaaa.) You may even be able to get the wifi in the Zen Den. Feel free to sit and relax on The Outpost porch in the Adirondack chairs and watch people come and go from the campground.  If you are truly looking to get away from it all, make sure not to look at the password in this app!

We love dogs. They are family! Absolutely bring them with you, just be sure to keep them leashed or on a tie out. Plenty of shade (yay). You'll find a hose available in The Courtyard to fill those doggie water bowls (or use for other reasons if needed).

Parking is available in front of the Zen Den. Firewood, kindling bundles, s'mores kits and other items can be purchased ahead of time at booking and picked up at The Outpost in The Courtyard (front porch of the big cabin), or purchased while at the camp.

Small and mid-size RV's are welcome to select any cleared area in The Courtyard or behind Cabin Row off The Courtyard. Small RV's and tents are welcome to select any location in The Courtyard or behind Cabin Row off The Courtyard OR any cleared area further back into The Woods. Meander back into The Woods at some point though, it's a relaxing walk. 🌳🌲🍃

We are surrounded by farms and ranches. It's authentic country... And because of that, FYI, you may hear birds and squirrels in the treetops, or a farm dog or cow... or a coyote, or a train in the distance (the famous Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway which has been running through Plantersville since the 1800's, but thankfully not next to the camp).

Please don't hesitate to reach out with questions or special requests.

And above all else, have fun and enjoy nature! Thank you for your business.

We really loved the tent and the area! It was perfect and it was great experience. Dana and Bob were very helpful and they gave us plenty of woods and they provided extra items that we needed.
Also, we had two dogs over there and it was perfect!

Dana was a great host. Everything was set up nicely. The roads were not that bad to get too. Felt very safe the whole time. Even with the weather dropping into the 30s the tent had a little heater that helped keep us some what warm. It was a nice break from the city.

This was phenomenal! I really can’t say enough great things about this site. The zen den was clean, comforting, and so cute. The whole area was well maintained. Port-o-potty was clean & fresh as well. The hosts are just down right wonderful and were so helpful and accommodating. They really make you feel like you’re at home. We will most definitely be back to this great spot! Thank you for having us!

Our stay at the Zen Den was fantastic! The property and campsite were easy to find. The hosts made sure we had everything we needed (including a lighter which we forgot). We spent some time talking to both Dana and Bob and we could tell how passionate they are about their campground. If you’re looking for a camping or glamping experience within an easy drive of the Houston area, check them out!
