If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We camped in site 3 . It was a large corner spot with enough space for our screen house and our 6 person tent.
It was close to the bath house , which was under construction during our stay with only one toilet and shower open. The path to the river was also close.
There were a lot of RVers right across from us, they friendly and a couple actually came over to help us set up our tent which we were struggling with. Everyone was very friendly and the site was dog friendly which our puppy really enjoyed. The fire put, hammock and picnic table were much appreciated amenities. We had a spectacular time enjoying being outdoors and meeting friendly new people. Tammy checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely want to come back and stay longer maybe in the spring and or summer.
I came here to celebrate my birthday & let me just say it was a beautiful experience! The restrooms were nearby, the campsite was well set up! Not a single complaint ! Everyone is super friendly & helpful :) we are planning on coming back again !
Campsite with great view of texas s
Very nice site that came with a hammock, fire pit, picnic table and plenty of extra space! The river was just a short walk through the camp. The bathroom was clean and shower water was warm! Overall great and beautiful experience!
Fantastic november get-away
What a beautiful camp ground! The hosts were accommodating and relaxed. We thought there was a possible issue with our campsite, and the management cleared it all up quickly and efficiently! The only issue we had at our stay was that there was only one functioning bathhouse at the time. However, it was always kept clean and serviceable. The only reason there was one was because management is working to improve and expand its current size. There was obvious progress being made on its construction, so it wasn’t simply an issue of them merely saying that “renovations were happening”. That’s a long-winded way of me saying that management cares about the park and maintains it well!
Camp for texas hill country overlan
Great little camp right on the river. The two tent sites closest to the water are a bit exposed, so it worked out well that we didn't reserve one of these as I had wanted. The water was great, and it would be a fantastic spot for when TPWD drops trout right at this spot in the winter. This worked out as a great spot as we were doing the Texas Hill Country Overland Trail, using it as a base camp to work large portions of the trail Saturday and Sunday. Being at roughly the center point of the trail network with most loops converging near the camp grounds.
Nice spot for a night in oct.
Nice camping area (#3), clean and shady. I was concerned about being so close to the RVs but there was no problem with noise. The river access was nice. Not really a river for paddleboards in Oct. (too shallow) but it would be good for tubing or kayaking. A good trip
