Dos Rios was a good stop over while on a bicycle tour. We appreciated the picnic tables, firepits, chairs, and trees in the tent camping area. The bathrooms were clean and air conditioned. We enjoyed swimming the Llano River, and the sunset was phenomenal.
I have stayed at Dos Rios tent camping sites twice and I will say that they have a clean and beautiful property with fantastic access to the Llano river. Tammy is friendly and helpful, and the kayak rentals make for a great day on the river. The problem with this campsite is the dog policy and total lack of control from irresponsible dog owners. Be prepared to have dogs charge up to you and your dog and to wander around the campsite at night. No one keeps their dogs on leash and this is dangerous to you, your family and the animal off leash itself. Not everyone loves your dog and wants them all over themselves. People take their dogs to the river and let them run amuck off leash and act like they own the property with little to no regard for how this impacts others. We also had a frightened dog wandering around the campsite at night who had freed itself from its tether. This dog was scared, barking loudly and growling at people with no owner to be found and no control over the animal whatsoever. At the end of the day dogs are animals and when frightened you cannot predict how they will react. If you want a place to camp where you can let your dog interrupt others, disrespect safety and boundaries then this is the place for you. If you are a responsible dog owner I would 100% not recommend visiting this location. Spend your days at a site where respect and responsibility is more encouraged as this is not it.

Perfect place for a weekend camping trip. Easy access to the Llano river. The sites were nicely spaced out and clean.
My husband, son & I have been coming here for years. First place we drove our camper van, means a lot to us.
With that being said, they’ve added manyyyy new campsite (which is okay & I understand) but the bathroom situation is exactly THAT, a situation.
You have to wait to use the bathroom cause someone is either taking a shower or going to the bathroom. It’s just not the ideal situation.
Adding more bathrooms would make this place perfect!
The location wasn't bad , but the sites were too close together and there was a group that was parting real loud till 5am being very disrespect to everyone, not really the owners fault but still not a good time for us.
We had a great time! The tent sites were great, site 2 had wonderful views of the river but the trade off is little shade at this site. We camped with kids and they loved swimming in the river. Next time I plan to also rent a cabin just to have the best of both worlds. The manager is top notch, good communication before and during our stay.

We enjoyed truck bed camping at Dos Rios. Our site was well kept and a short walk to the restrooms and path to the river. The river was beautiful and did not disappoint.
Our first night (Thursday) was nice and peaceful. The weekend got a bit louder with other groups close by playing loud music until the early hours of the morning.
We stayed at site 8. This site was more private than some of the other tent sites because it was surrounded by smaller trees and shrubs. There wasn’t much shade throughout the day, so I would suggest packing a canopy or tarp if you want to escape the sun.
Overall, we would recommend this place to friends looking for a relaxing getaway, close to places like Enchanted Rock and Fredericksburg.
