Cedar Trails 2024 Solar Eclipse 3-1
Tent camping among the trees 🌳
Tent camping was great! Mesquite trees enclosed most of our site, providing privacy. A small fire pit was available. The port-a-potty, shared by perhaps ten or twelve campers altogether, was a two-minute walk from where we pitched our tent. The campground is adjacent to a small road that I used for jogging. We saw maybe ten head of cattle grazing on the grounds, as well as the occasional bird and small beetle. Cute!

This campsite was so lovely and private. A lot of the sites were out of view of the other camp sites which was nice. Each site had a campfire ring although we didnt use ours. The bathrooms were portapotties which were well maintained and didnt smell too much. The hosts were so nice and very responsive. I think the best part was the herd of cows that wandered through the campground every evening.

Beautiful land, awesome sunsets!!
Cedar Trails was by far the prettiest and most serene place we camped in Texas! Each campsite thoughtfully laid out for privacy. 4-2, 2-1, and 3-2 being my favorites. All the campsites have a metal fire pit area and you can pull your car right in to your area so no lugging camping equipment hundreds of feet. A few friendly cows were grazing the green grass to greet us as we pulled in. There is a creek on the property and it was a short walk away from the campsites. Fredericksburg is only 15 minutes away, but we felt so secluded on the 10 acre site. The sunsets were incredible! Because the property is level you have a panorama of the sky. I took a gazillion pics while there. Larissa is the host. She answered every text within minutes, brought us glasses for the eclipse, and has the most gorgeous smile! Truly she is a delight. Lastly, thank you to Veronica Lewis, the owner of the property. It was a pleasure to camp next to you and your radiant children. Sharing the eclipse with such a wonderful group of people left me with memories I will always cherish. I can’t wait to come back one day and stay in a new cabin!

Great place to camp.
Exceeded our expectations. Beautiful land, spacious site, shade from cedar trees, quiet, peaceful, a lovely graveled area with a fire ring for setting up our kitchen. Nearby portapotties that were clean and well maintained. Larissa couldn’t have been nicer!
