Welcome to our beautiful and peaceful 25-acre retreat, nestled in the mesquite grasslands of Central Texas! We're conveniently located just 20 minutes from Waco and situated between Austin and Dallas. Our retreat is the perfect spot for weekend getaways for those seeking solitude and a chance to commune with nature.
Our retreat is only two hours away from Austin, making us a convenient stop for those attending SXSW or other Austin area destinations. We're also only 1 1/2 hours from the DFW area. Our retreat is perfect for tent campers, van lifers, tiny house travelers, and anyone who prefers a more natural setting than a traditional RV park may offer.
During your stay, you'll have the opportunity to sit by the pond and enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature. You can also hike across the grasslands and through the woods to see native birds like the beautiful Scissor Tail Flycatcher, Cardinals, Great Blue Herons, Yellow Eastern Meadowlark, Red Tail Hawks, and more. At night, the dark skies allow for excellent stargazing and communing with nature.
Our owners are passionate about sustainable living and preserving and protecting nature and wildlife. That's why we've left the landscape natural, with native plants and trees providing habitats for birdwatching and wild rabbits and armadillos. All the paths are mowed so you can walk to the pond for birdwatching without having to walk through tall grass.
You can refill your water jugs 50 feet from the pads, but We do Not have running water at the sites yet, we are in the final stages and hope to be complete by April, but as of now, No running water at the sites. We have full electric hookups for camper vans, tiny houses, and more, allowing you to plug in fans and heaters for tent camping. Solo stoves are welcome, or you can rent them from us if needed.
