Beautiful site in the midst of gorgeous live oaks. Cait was so thoughtful, inviting us to stay in her bunkhouse because it was a very cold night. (We stuck it out in our tent!) Our kids (ages 8, 5, and 3) loved the horses, goats, and donkeys. There was also a trampoline, tire swing, hammocks, and lots of fun corners of the farm to explore. Would love to go back!

Thank you so much for the sweet words. I'm really glad the kids had such a fun time. it seems only grown-ups notice the cold. Lol. I hope the rest of your trip was peaceful.

The property was amazing. They've put a lot of work into it, and it shows! Can't wait to rent one of their new bunk houses.
All the animals are super friendly! And the owner is even friendlier. I'll visit mockingbird farms again to get away from the city.

Wonderful hospitality! It was a very short trip, but I would recommend it, especially for the view of the stars and the sweet collection of animals that love to eat marshmallows :)

Cait was a friendly and flexible host as my trip changed plans a few times. Her friend met me on arrival to show me around, clean facilities, great amenities like table and chairs, Adirondack chairs around fire pit, outdoor sink. It was fun to meet all the horses and sleep under the stars!

What a great, secluded place to stay. And on a farm with horses, donkeys, and a cat! The amenities here are excellent, including a composting toilet and cellular wifi. There are lots of trees and vegetation in general. We were able to tent camp with our rainfly off, so we could lie back and look up at the stars through the trees, as the chirping of crickets lulled us to sleep. There was a nice breeze blowing through that cooled us, although, yeah, at the heat of the day, it was hot. Meh ... this was South Texas in June, so we expect that. The only people I saw who were not in cars along the roadways were the workers who came once daily to tend to the animals. We had a great time feeding toaster pastries to the donkeys and carrots to the horses. We will definitely return to Mockingbirds Farm and I highly recommend it!

This is a sweet little spot not far from San Antonio. Lots of trees and shade, a tidy, clean composting outhouse, horses and donkeys to chat with, and chairs to use. I definitely plan to visit again.
