Hookups include 50 amp service (30 amp adapter available if needed), septic & water (Y connections shared with the hosts). It's a long reach so make sure you have enough length for all your hookups. We are just 10 miles outside of Bandera so we offer the peace & quiet of the country. We DO NOT allow guests to have visitors so if you want to share your experience with your friends or family they need to book their own site. We are a family friendly campground so if you are looking for a place to get wild and party, keep looking. If you are looking for a place to get away, relax and enjoy the river then keep reading! You will have a picnic table and a fire pit so don’t forget the S’mores! We offer river access for floating, paddling, swimming or fishing. We do not offer a boat launch so if your water toy is on a trailer leave that at home! We do not have trash service so you are required to take your trash with you when you leave. This site will accommodate 6 people and 2 pets. Please don’t ask if you can bring more, the answer is no. This site may also be used as a tent site (max 2 tents). Tents are not allowed if the site is booked with an RV. We include 1 vehicle with the site and you may bring a 2nd vehicle for a $10 charge.
Boulderdash Cabin & RV Park is located on 4.8 acres with serene views on the Medina River. Be aware that river levels vary widely. Sometimes we have a lake, sometimes a river, and sometimes a stream. Check for recent photos on our FB page or on Google to get an idea of the river levels. Even when the river is low we have a great swimming hole so bring your chairs, hats, sunscreen and shades. Come spend a weekend or longer at our little slice of paradise. Remember to invite your friends or family to stay at one of our other 2 RV sites, 4 rustic tent sites, the cabin, or our retro RV “Stella” so they can enjoy some down timetoo! Bandera is just 20 minutes away and there is always something going on. It offers some great restaurants, a museum, several shops and best of all, Cowboys! If you like to hike the Hill Country State Natural Area boasts 40 miles of trails and is just a short drive away. If you are into horses there are a few local businesses that offer horseback riding. Come on down y'all, play in the river and enjoy the views!

Fun filled camping trip
This is a super nice place. Quiet but fun and relaxing. Went down to the river set up my canopy and hung out with all my family for hours. The hosts are perfect they are nice and easy going. The camp is well kept and super clean. Im already booking my next trip there with friends.
You will enjoy it I know we did.
I'm very glad that we picked site #3 for our hot, summer stay because this was a lovely shaded site.
There was just enough water to float and relax but not enough to tube around. Super clear water which was nice and cool in the morning and lunch hours.
The community deck was perfect for viewing the meteor shower.
Great spot for humans and pups :)
Great site with amazing amenities and wonderful hosts. RV sites have all the hookups you need. There's also a well maintained toilet with shower and hot water if needed. Easy access to the river and kayaks available for rent. I look forward to coming back here again sometime.
My place my spot!
Well I am biased because I own it! But actually Lyn and I park our trailer in this site most of the time and we love it! It gives a bit of shade and we still get a great view of the river when our patio is down! We just need to get 50 amp service here and we would never move!!
Site was double booked with a party of 12 people. Management was uncooperative and debited us a refund after management on site realized they booked double. We were a tent camping pushed into an rv site right next to managements rv. We did not stay and WILL NOT recommend them to any friends, or family.
Okay if you’re in the Texas Hill Country and planning on camping any where other than Boulderdash... my question is why? The campsites may not have bathrooms, but they are shaded and beautiful with a fire ring and picnic table - and there is a killer hill top view from your site.
The real attraction though is the Medina River. It’s covered in white rocks and varies from ankle deep to too deep to touch the bottom in front of Boulderdash and just a couple of hundred yards up stream. We saw beautiful perch and bass, and could see our feet everywhere we went because the water was clear and beautiful. There were places to jump off rocks, kayak, wade, or just sun bathe on the rock beach.
Perfect place to spend a weekend. It’s not just a home base so that you can go explore somewhere else - it is the place to explore. Best campsite I’ve found in the area so far! Plus, the hosts are super precious and kind, we felt so welcomed by them! I saw a previous review about dogs barking, so I brought a small bluetooth speaker and was not bothered by the dogs at all!
