BB Valley Overlook Camping is a 20 acre property with 3 campsites, All three sites have picnic tables, fire rings, 12x12 shade covers and site #2 and #3 only have RV turn arounds for small RV's (16 foot or less). All sites have beautiful views of Nine Point Mesa, Black Hill, Southern and Western mountain ranges. This area is designated Dark Skies so star watching is great. Bring your telescopes! It is attached to Skydancer Ranch & Rescue who Rescue all kinds of animals in need. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100091774065941 The property is 35 miles north of Big Bend National Park and 56 miles south of Alpine Texas on Terlingua Ranch. This is an off grid location with many dirt-road trails and dirt roads perfect for many off-road activities. 4x4 Vehicles must remain on dirt roads as all private property. There are a number of challenging and fun 4x4 roads within minutes of the campsites. Small country store 3.5 miles down the road, for shopping needs. Minutes from the Cactus Farm and Frontier Roadhouse. Depending on the dates of your visit, public music and Pot luck events happen a number of times a month. The National Park and Terlingua ghost town are 35 or so minutes south on 118. The hosts live on the a joining property and run a functioning Goat ranch with many farm animals. so Horse, donkey, chicken, dog, goat noises in the distance are common.

Site 3 North West

Nice, maintained and Quiet!

Dan and Carrie’s land was well kept and super clean. You can tell they’ve put in a lot of work for each site. Even though your on there land you can’t see the main house from site 3 and still feel very secluded. Having cell service was a plus. I will return!

A Five-Star Wilderness Escape at Dan and Carrie's Primitive Camping near Big Bend National Park I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the most incredible primitive camping adventure at Dan and Carrie's campground, located just outside of Big Bend National Park. This hidden gem exceeded all my expectations and provided an unforgettable experience in the heart of nature. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the serene beauty of the surroundings. The campground is nestled amidst breathtaking landscapes, offering a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The peaceful ambiance and untouched wilderness made me feel instantly connected to nature. One of the highlights of my stay was spot 2, which offered an awe-inspiring sunset view overlooking the valley and the majestic Chisos Mountain. Words cannot do justice to the sheer beauty and tranquility that enveloped me as I watched the sun dip below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow over the entire landscape. It was a truly magical experience that will forever be etched in my memory. The amenities provided at Dan and Carrie's campground were exceptional. Despite being a primitive camping site, the facilities were well-maintained and clean. The campsite was equipped with fire pits, picnic tables, and ample space for setting up tents. The owners, Dan and Carrie, were incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring that all campers had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Hale Family

Site 1 South East

Great communication from the hosts, very tidy and secluded- great views. Short walk to very clean toilet a plus. Perfect way to break up the drive from Austin to Big Bend / Terlingua. Will be back next year!
