Camping on the Plains at Mariposa
Great stop at the Mariposa!
Our group had a great experience at Mariposa! It was raining like crazy so the community space was fantastic! We were able to cook a wonderful dinner in the community kitchen. We showered and dried out some wet clothes. Great place to stop on our way home from the solar eclipse!

Great place to stay overnight. We arrived after dark but were still able to follow directions and get in without any issues.

Pros and Cons
There are pros and cons to this Hipcamp, I want to give an honest review. Pros: as a solo female traveler, it felt safe to me. The washer/dryer came in very helpful when my bedding got wet during a rainy commute. Plenty of flat spots to park my camper. Flush toilets. Cons: dirty. Toilets, shower, kitchen, all pretty gross. Broken faucet in the kitchen. This place needs a deep clean. I didn’t want to spend extended time in the community center. Locating this place was stressful—the construction on the highway you turn off of is not to be underestimated. You have to turn where there isn’t a paved road or sign, going across blocked old highway. The address posted on the listing doesn’t match the coordinates. Use the coordinates, not the address.

Excellent indoor bathrooms and kitchen. Outside was very windy and our small tent was ok, but I would be wary of trying to pitch a larger tent. Check the weather. Hosts were very responsive.

Camping on the Plains at Mariposa
Great spot to see the horizon - all around you. Stayed 2 nights (before&after eclipse) in a pop up van camper. We liked it - showed some thoughtful planning by the host. There are level enough spots in the parking lot and hot showers and clean bathrooms. Kitchen - very convenient- we used with our own equipment. For us it was confusing to find due to the road development so we had to text the host to find our way - enter Mariposa Drive in google maps. Happy Trails :)

Family/dog camp
We had a great time visiting Mariposa eco village, lots of open space available, safe, and the host were available and helpful. Didn’t use the community center as we had our C class RV. Heads up, not suitable for 30 amp plug ins
