Absolutely nothing bad to say about the Bolo Club. My girlfriend, my dog and I stayed at “the beach” (right alongside the running water) in our roof top tent and it was prrfect. Host was so kind and welcoming, but gave us plenty of space. The people staying closer to the bathhouse / shared kitchen and cabin lounge were very friendly and fun. A great place with better people. Bathrooms and showers were very well maintained, firewood and ice always available on an honor system. Would absolutely recommend. Thanks y’all!

Loved this spot! The cabin was very cozy. Mary was incredibly nice and accommodating! I loved the bathrooms too.

Excellent tent camping experience
Bolo Club completely exceeded our expectations! The area is amazing, Mrs Mary and everyone there were so welcoming and friendly, and my two girls are already playing a return trip. The bath houses were super clean, well kept and a great place to clean up. They even provided a area to wash dishes in the provided outdoor sink. We were given the option to camp anywhere we liked and had a perfect spot at the base of the mountain with the creek directly behind us. My girls were able to ride horses and learned a lot about handling a horse. The hiking and various trails are beautiful..be sure to explore the cave, it’s amazing!!

Very remote TN mountain playground. Horses, 4wheeler, Huntin’ Oh My! The atmosphere is that country kind of calm. Be aware there is DEF wildlife up here. Heard Two packs of Coyotes, a Mountain Lion (20 ft from my ten), River Otters, Turkeys, plenty o deer—these are the creatures heard/saw in a 24 hr stay. I love it this way, but just so you know, be prepared.
Temperature drop is Real, that said, be prepared.
Plenty of hiking to be had!
The folk in charge are good home folk—I only remember Mary and Steve’s name, but there’s one more gentleman with his trusty dog sidekick that make you feel welcome.

My husband and I tent camped there with our dog and toddler. We had an amazing time! The land is beautiful and we were welcomed so graciously by the hosts. They showed us around their museum of all the Civil War and Native American artifacts found on the property, let us eat the pears off their tree, and we even got a four wheeler ride to a cave from some fellow lodgers. The facilities were clean and even smelled good. Our son loved to watch the ducks in the creek and pet the horses. We will definitely be back!
Beautiful remote camping spot!
I stayed for one night at The Bolo Club and really enjoyed it! The hosts were very relaxed and kind, and brought me some wood to get a good fire started. When I arrived no one who worked there was around, but some other guests pointed me in the right direction and I camped right by a creek. It is beautiful and remote - my dog and I would come again!
This place was beautiful!
My spouce and i stayed just 1 night at Bolo Club on a little camping road trip in mid July. They had great soft grassy areas to pitch our tent right next to spring fed creek.
Miles of trails for hiking or horseback riding. They had many sites for trailer and rv hookups.
The bath house was amazing. After 3 days of back country camping this was the oasis we needed. Hot showers and flushing toilets. They had ice available for purchase and even offered to let us pick veggies from their lush garden to add to our dishes.
This place is a star gazers dream. There are a few big open fields with little to no light polution from surrounding towns. This was perfect and we could clearly see the commet NEOWISE just after sunset untill about 9:30pm. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
I would love to go back when i could have more time to explore the miles of trails.

The Bolo Club was our last stop on a COVID19 conscious camping trip and it was perfect! The super nice, cedar wood bathrooms were impressive and a haven since we hadn’t showered in three days haha. The amenities with the primitive camping style was the perfect combo for us. Our dog was able to run around and play in the creek. We tent camped by the RVs but were only one of two tenants so had a big fire ring to ourselves. The star gazing alone would make us return to the Bolo Club. We camp often but nothing has compared to that. Even spotted the Neowise comet which was literally once in a lifetime opportunity. We slept to the sound of insects and the babbling creek. The creek is clear and rocky, not murky and muddy. Super cold but was great to wade and play with our dog in. Host was super friendly and helpful, so was Django the heeler. Django even put up with our young heeler mix trying to play. Definitely recommend!
