Creekside Camping in Gatlinburg
There were pros and cons
Owners seemed nice and was very fast responsive when I had a question. The resort itself, was cute and everyone seemed super friendly there. They had trash pickup which was awesome! It is gated, so I felt safe as far as leaving some items outside. Only issues we had, no internet and poor cell service. The free WiFi wasn’t enough to do anything with. This isn’t the owners fault. It’s in the mountains lol. The grassy area that sits beside the creek was ate up with poison ivy/oak. Which my husband is actually severely allergic to. (So severe we have an epi pen for him) So we were concerned about that. I had to watch where I stepped, but it is beautiful view Of the creek. I was sad that you couldn’t access the creek, or sit and watch it while you drank coffee. We noticed the pool gate was locked on a Wednesday. Not sure if it’s closed on that day? We weren’t planning on swimming. We drove over there to the snack bar to see what goodies they had. But we seen a lady come out with handfuls of goodies, and lock the building up. So we realized we either needed a key to get in, or it was closed too. This was probably all information online and I should have looked it all over very good before our trip. I just couldn’t access it once there.( The no service or internet). So that is my fault for not studying up more. And definitely not the owners fault for the resort rules. But overall we did like it. We had the mountains without too much of the touristy part.

Perfect but with caveat
The lot is beautiful, peaceful, and situated along a tranquil little river in the magical Smoky Mountains. The community is adorable and quiet. We loved it! Owners are also very friendly and responsive to communication. However, both cell connection for Verizon and TMobile as well as community wifi were problematic and therefore stressful for us since we work from our RV. Owners say they don’t have issues with Verizon which I don’t dispute. It just didn’t work out for us, even with the Winegard internet gateway with Verizon smart card. Keep in mind you’re in a valley just at the foot of the mountains so your signal may have issues. They did kindly offer an additional free night we sadly couldn’t use. If connectivity isn’t a big deal there isn’t a better spot for you in Gatlinburg. Lovely.

Great hosts, excellent communication, very secure and nice lot. We enjoyed it and actually extended it for another night. Make sure you book the zip line close by in advance.
