Bomana is a 36 acre property in Carlton River, on the way to the Tasman Peninsular. The owners live on site (top corner of the block). We are offering two opportunities to camp/van/caravan on this delightfully private land.

This is a small area ideal for a tent, small campervan or small caravan.

This is a leave no trace property that suits campers who bring everything they need (including a camping toilet) and remove everything they bring. Good access for most 2WD vehicles and caravans, please ask before booking if you would like more information about access.

Both sites boast beautiful views of the Carlton River, Fredrick Henry Bay and Mt Wellington. Some sites have views down towards Dunalley. Lots of opportunities to capture photos of sensational sunrises and sunsets.

The property is 3km from Primrose Sands Beach (great for safe swimming). It is 4.5km from Carlton Beach (great for surfing), 37km from Port Arthur and 13km from Sorell. Hobart is 45km.

We have goats on the property so pets will be considered on a case-by-case basis, please ask before booking with pets.

Great place to stay and unwind . Views are amazing and you do not have to travel far if you want to enjoy the local beach.
Lauren greeted us on arrival and was very helpful.

Bomana was perfect for our last night before returning our hire camper. The property had beautiful views, a cute little heard of friendly goats and Lauren was super lovely. She had set the fire pit up for us and the space for the camper was flat too. Wish we’d had a few more nights without any other vans or campers around because the peace was bliss. Highly recommend!!

This campsite is truly exceptional in Tasmania where it is very hard to find places to stay without other campers right next to you. The site has magnificent views of the country side and rivers and is very peaceful. Lauren had placed kindling in the fire pit and there was a good supply of firewood nearby. Out of all the places we have camped in Tasmania, this is my favourite and I felt sorry to have to leave!

We had a great stay on top of the hill with beautiful views all around. This is really central to a whole lot of places. Near to beautiful beaches and on the way to Tasman Peninsula. A little bit farm and a little bit beach and very lovely! Site was flat and very picturesque. Our host was really welcoming and gave great directions.
