Great place to camp! Montanna and his wife were more than friendly. Great firepit, seating, nearby pool room/game room, and some nice animals nearby (fenced in of course). Had a great time!
Very nice place! would recommend!
Montanna and Kelly were wonderful! We stayed a week in March to work on clearing our own property and chose this site for to the location and amenities. Ridgeland is a nice little town with all of the offerings of a larger town and just a short drive to all of the awesome places everyone loves to vacation (Hilton Head, Charleston, Savannah), without the traffic. Montanna allowed us to pick where to set up camp within a large space so picking a smooth spot for our tents was easy. The WiFi was great and having electric made it stay super easy. He has a really nice set up with things to do and an electric gated entrance (completely fenced in yard), which was unexpected but a nice surprise.
My recommendation is to possibly look into getting a larger (both in capacity and height) portable toilet and setting up a shower. We brought our own shower tent (dual sides so it is a shower on one side and changing or bathroom on the other) so this wasn't an issue for us, but their toilet was basically full after a couple of days with an adult and two kids so if you are planning on staying you may want to keep that in mind. I'm sure Montanna would have emptied it, but we just ended up not using it after the first few days. The open bottom scared my son because it allowed the toilet tent to be full of bugs, so it was easier to go when we were out or get our own. I've seen some hosts set up shower tents with portable water heaters and a hose, so that would be an awesome improvement for the future. Everything worked out great though! Those are just ideas. :)
Peaceful night and stay
Absolutely enjoyed our stay here! We only stayed 1 night but would book again and stay longer. The hosts have put so much thought and effort into making guests comfortable. Outdoor showers had great hot water and were lit well for night time use. The property is gorgeous and it was great to let our dog run, as we have been camping several weeks and he had spent several days on leads at campgrounds. Wifi worked great, too, which is a plus for many ppl who need connectivity for whatever reason. Loved watching the ducks and listening to the birds. 10 out of 10 would recommend for peace and quiet downtime. The road to get there was a little rough but passable (not at the fault of the hosts), but well worth the effort to get there. If you take it slow it's not a problem.
Lovely property and hosts very nice and helpful. It's a bit tight getting in and out towing a 26' TT, but with the assistance of Montana and Kellie it was very doable. The dirt road in is a bit rough but I had no problems.
The sewer dump was on opposite side of electrical and water hookup but hose and cord just reached. Very peaceful listening to the frogs croaking in the evening. About 40 minutes from Savannah which is a must see. Beach and other quaint towns within 45 min. Unfortunately the pool table was being recovered so I didn't get to kick anyone's butt on the table! There is a hang out/mancave room with games and such but I did not use it. Overall a great place to hang out for a bit.
