What a special place. An honour to be welcomed into this country - thank you Kylie and Owen. Close to home, but felt like a million miles away. Camp kitchen and lovely toilet block made things much easier for me with two small kids, camping in winter. The dogs were hilarious and lots of fun, as were the sheep. The stunning sunsets, night skies, walks in scrub and the abundant bird life (including the ducks). Just glorious. Highly recommended.
Great heysen trail stopover!
I booked the Heysen Swag Experience, it was set up and ready for me when I arrived, much easier than carrying sleeping gear and a tent!! The camp kitchen was great, pizza oven and bbq with a kettle to boil water, rainwater was available. The ablution block was clean and tidy and the whole area is lovely.
Really enjoyed our time here, would like to keep it our little secret! But can't speak highly enough of the reception we received, the amenities and the beautiful location. Hidden gem
Beautiful rolling green hills as a backdrop to very wide open campsites.
Site 3 has a great dug in fire pit with a great wooden bench to it on.
There was friendly farm dogs and goats about too!
