The positives. Friendly staff, flat site, seclusion away from everyone/thing, ability to have a fire. However the serenity and relaxation was spoilt by 1-2hrs of incessant gun shots on the neighboring farm on both night we were there, having to hunt the "very friendly" horses out of the camp site (clawing at sports equipment and muzzling the garbage) and a loud engine at about 7am on a Sunday. And finally, on arrival one afternoon after a day out, one the of guard/house dogs jumped up on the drivers door of the new Landcruiser whilst we waited for the gate to be opened, and scratched the paint work. Not happy about that.
An idyllic spot
A beautiful, peaceful spot which we highly recommend. We saw one other camper but they were far enough away that we couldn’t hear them. We had a prime waterfront spot, which was handy for a cooling dip on a stinking hot day. We were delighted to see the horses, who were very friendly (one was adorable and is my wife’s new bff!), and the pig who was living the dream.
Camping with cats!
Lovely peaceful spot. We were cooking breakfast and heard a rumbling noise... It was horses that came to the dam in the morning. An unexpected bonus! We actually took our cats(in a big playpen!) They enjoyed the outdoors.( In their harnesses ☺️) very lovely!
Michaela was hospitable and showed us around the property to find a suitable site to camp. We were seeking privacy and found a perfect spot. There are two dams on the property and we were able to enjoy swimming in and relaxing by the smaller one.
Positioned directly overlooking the dam water whilst watching and listening to the wild life was quiet simply Amazing, Peaceful and Beautiful.
Directions and access to the property then onto our waterfront site was very clearly communicated, level and simple. Couldn't see nor hear any of the other campers located elsewhere on the property. We really were in our own little bubble.
Michaela, Tina and the farm animals (horses, Pigs and Shetland Ponies) who occasionally popped into to say hi and just to see if we needed anything were fantastic.
Quiet simply, heaven on earth....
Top camping, RV area close to great swimming in the dam. Area is flat and grassy with heaps of shade.
We had such a good time with family members to welcome in 2022.
Easy check in & out . Very quiet and private area in the beautiful Aussie bush.
Thankyou for opening up this amazing place.
