Fantastic View from the Site. Stayed during the week and was the only one there. Highly Recommend. Peter was an absolute legend and always good for a chat

Great camping! Would come again.
Great camping at Peter's land! we primarily booked for the nice view however that was for the lower family campground which we didn't go to! Was very pretty when we drove past however. Peter was lovely, mostly rocks with some patches of grass - it rained a lot overnight so there were some mud pits so gumboots would be a good idea if it is supposed to rain. Nice land and great service the further up the ridge you go. Very cold and windy however the wind may have just been because of the rain/storm - wind was stopped by trees most of the time and didn't put out our fires so it was still great!
Overall, would come again!

Highly recommend!
We arrived late on the first night and Peter was so accommodating and friendly and helped us locate a spot in the dark site. The next day we had the opportunity to move down to one of the best views I have ever had the pleasure of waking up to the following morning, a foggy and stunning sunrise looking out at Mt Maroon that we had just hiked that day. Peter was so lovely and was very warm and welcoming, and was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area, the flora and the fauna. I highly recommend this camp site (and recommend trying to get there early for good visibility and the chance at a spectacular view!) Thanks again!

Tranquil Mountain Haven
The host's communication and directions to the site were crystal clear. Although I didn't have an extensive chat with the host, my camp mate did and praised him as a top bloke. He came across as friendly and accommodating, allowing me to arrive late and offering helpful recommendations. The dirt road to the lower campground required some skill for 2WD vehicles, but it's manageable and nothing too bad. The drive in and out though was simply stunning! The campsite follows a choose-your-own-adventure style, and we opted for the upper campground, which proved to be wonderfully tranquil and secluded. We didn't hear a single other soul.
The spacious layout of the upper campground was serene, and we also ventured to the lower campground by foot to catch the stunning morning hues. Despite the absence of a sunrise view, the pink and purple hues, along with the shadow playing over the mountains, were breathtaking. I can only imagine the spectacular sunset this spot offers.
Yet, the ultimate gem was beyond the gate up from the bitumen, as the host had hinted. A brief 10-minute walk unveiled a tiny opening revealing a panoramic 180-degree view of the entire ridgeline—an utterly breathtaking sight. I'm already planning to return and set up a chair there; the tranquility is unmatched!
I'm certain I'll revisit this beautiful spot at some point; those mountain vistas are truly captivating, and the hospitality of the host makes this spot a lovely getaway from the daily grind.
