Would love a return visit
We had a great stay on Chris's property. Waterfall/smimming hole was very nice and just walking distance from the campsite. I would love to stay there again.
Wild, rugged and private.
Awesome property all around. All of the sites are unique. Some more off the beaten path. The six person tent was super clean and tucked among the pines. Lots of interesting mushrooms growing among the pine needles. Deer, birds, groundhogs, squirrels, and turkey were all spotted at various times on the property. The six person tent site slopes a little bit, but nothing that prevented full use. Picnic table and platform were level. The fire ring fits a weber grill grate perfectly on top allowing for wood fired cooking. Picnic table was sturdy and in excellent condition, as was the platform. Portapotty was just a quick walk away and was clean. If you are looking for wild and rugged, this site does not disappoint. Chris was an excellent host and his intructions and advice were timely and really helpful. Most of the sites at this location were easy to drive in and park next to. The six person tent site requires a truck/off road capable vehicle if you intend to park right next to your camp (host made sure to advise about this fact which I appreciated.) My Ram 1500 had no problem. A regular car or station wagon would be a no go for this particular site. You could get pretty close in a car and just hike in. Something to keep in mind if you bring a bunch of stuff and don't have the vehicle to get back to the site. This site does give a lot of privacy, though. I had 4g cell service at the site through verizon which was a plus. Tree spacing was also perfect for hammock placement and hammock camping. I will definitley return.
This campsite is great! Highly recommend. The property is beautiful and very private. We stayed at the 6 person site with the tent already set up. Owner had no issues with us setting up an additional tent on the property. The stream located on property is absolutely gorgeous. My kids had a great time hiking around and playing in the creek. The owner was also very responsive to any questions we had. There is a campsite located right inside the entrance to the property that is probably best if you do not have a truck. This site is less private than others but much closer to the creek. The other sites are tucked back and bit more in the woods but highly recommend a truck or Jeep to get in. Again, highly recommend and cannot wait to go back!
Picture perfect private camp
By far the best hip camp I’ve come across. What a beautiful peice of land this is real camping! Chris was very hospitable this is a place to experience if you want some privacy and nature. As well as many awesome near by Sites to see the only thing that I would have changed would have been is not staying longer.
My husband and I stayed at the canvas tent site and it was perfect for us. The location was quiet, secluded and the scenery was one of a kind. The canvas tent was spacious and easy to manage; they even had decorative lights in the tent! Next time we plan to bring our kids since they will love it too!
Chris and Ashley have done a wonderful job setting up this site- it was everything a 'lover of nature' would enjoy.
Beautiful remote tent site
If you love being amongst nature, this is the campsite for you. You have can see and hear all types of wildlife throughout your stay and when the sun goes down the star are on full display. Beautiful and remote camping in a very spacious canvas tent. I highly recommend. 4 wheel drive cars are definitely prefered here if you plan to bring your vehical all the way to the campsite. The land is a bit rugged.
Beautiful private land. absolutely
This place is AMAZING! My son and I stayed at the site with the tent set up. There was plenty of firewood around the camp for dinner and roasting marshmallows. We spent most of the time exploring and climbing up and down the stream. Lots of wildlife all around us at all times. I highly recommend checking this place out!
Quiet peaceful remote!
Beautiful place to camp, very private, quiet and peaceful. It was so nice not to have to set up a tent too. Although we had lots of rain we didnt mind just hanging out at the site. Our dogs had a blast just running around and exploring.
We had the pleasure of staying at this site over Memorial Day weekend. Although the weather was cold and rainy, our experience was fantastic. When Chris saw that the weather was going to be bad, he offered to set up a semi-permanent 12x10 ft canvas tent so that we could make the most of the weather. The tent was amazing and the site was very pretty and secluded. There was possibly the cleanest port-a-potty I've ever seen only about a 5 minute walk from the site. We took a walk up to site 1 to see the views and they were beautiful. The waterfall and swiming hole were also a hidden gem and we plan to rent again later this summer and take full advantage of the feature. The only possible downsides i could give are that the site is on a rather large incline so it could be difficult to find a good flat place and if its rainy you will definitely need a 4 wheel drive suv or truck. Luckily, for those of us without this, there was ample parking only about a 5 minute walk away. Overall, we had an amazing stay at Chris's property and would 100% rent again!
