The grassy field with the picnic table and fire ring was great as a beginner camping family. Great atmosphere for groups with kids with lots of room for them to run around and play. There was a good amount of room between tents and having access to a close bathroom was great. Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful campground! Lake Genero is an amazing place. Katy was always there to help and assist. I will be going back!
The grounds were perfect. Campsites very clean. Katy, the general manager was always available to help out and she was very present. The lake was clean and the new dock is nice. Site 10 is far from the bathrooms and parking lot but manageable. The bathrooms need some serious updating and cleaning. There was no toilet paper in either bathroom on one entire day. The toilets were breaking all the time. The women only had 1 out of 4 working toilets at one point. The men were down to one toilet for about a day. The power to the bathroom building went out during our stay for over 24 hours.
My family had a great time and asked to go back. We were able to have good quality family time and so much to do.
The tent site (#4) was wonderful! It was very well shaded, there was wood for the fire all over the place, and the picnic tables were clean. Katy came by a few times to check on us and ask if we needed anything. The private party at the main pavilion was weird in that we were told to not play music too loud or use the main pavilion facilities. The ladies restroom only had 1 of 4 stalls working, but everything else was great. The property has a beautiful lake to kayak in, Rif’s was a close source of dinner and ice cream, and everyone was super friendly and helpful.
i loved tent camping. silent, good for kids.there are a lot for recreation activities.we enjoyed a lot.
The campgrounds was a nice open and flat land with lots of sun. It’s great for those with kids who want to run around. We were the only ones there so it was nice to have the place to ourselves, but I can definitely see it fun to spend time with other families if you rent the games/equipment and all there is to offer.
Katy is very thoughtful: clear and easy to read maps were available in the bathroom, picnic tables/fire pit at every tent site, water and dish soap on a nice platform to wash your dishes.
I would recommend this place especially for those first time campers who aren’t ready to go completely off the grid
