This magical property is conveniently located 5 miles north of Florence and directly on Hwy 101, approximately 3/4 of a mile from the ocean. This is a large private site that is surrounded by old growth timber and teaming with flora and fauna. Campers are encouraged to explore the numerous trails systems, but be aware, this property is wild.. and encounters with wildlife are common. The property's surrounding the camp are mostly BLM, but we do have full time neighbors just to the North, so we ask that you be respectful and cautious with regard to dogs/noise- Hwy 101 can be noisy during the day and dangerous for unsuspecting pets. We offer unlimited campfire wood for a fee (Venmo or add onto Hipcamp checkout), however, there are several roadside campfire stations (directly across 101 from camp) offering small bundles for $5-6/night. Beyond the adventuring that can be done on the property, Baker Beach state park is less than a half a mile away and there is a plethora of trails, parks and lakes within 10 miles. The site is minimal - we have a picnic table, and one porta-potty. We expect guests to come prepared with water, and take their trash with them. Thanks for your interest! Let us know if you have any questions.

We needed a last minute place to set up camp along the coast. The property is so lush and pretty. The sounds of the road didn't bother us at all. It was clean and Jason was responsive and helpful.
Basic spot of property with a dry spot to pitch a tent. This site was very basic as far as amenities go, but the listing and host communication did a good job of setting those expectations properly. Thanks for hosting!
Great site! We loved being under the tall trees and having plenty of space to ourselves. It was located really close to the sea lion cave and not far from Cape Perpetua, where there's great hiking and sightseeing. You could hear the noise from Highway 101 from the campsite, but it didn't keep us up at night. The firewood was a little wet with recent rain, but there was a site across the street where we bought drier wood. Our hosts were really responsive and let us extend our trip an extra day. We'd love to come back!
This is a very primitive campsite but it could be improved with some site prep. Finish the driveway. Prepare a leveled tent site. Dig and build a pit toilet to replace the plastic porta-potty.
Absence of the host seemed weird. Called for restaurant suggestions, but not all that helpful.
Over-priced.
What a beautiful site and gracious hosts!
Directions were clear. Lovely spot for an easy overnight of the 101. Close to the road but wasn’t too loud.
My friend and I had a wonderful day at this spot- it was easy to find and close to Florence for convenience. It was clear that Megan and Jason have taken good care of this gem of a spot, to ensure that folks like my friend and I can enjoy a home away from home. It was a bit drizzly while we were there, but the fire pit is placed under a covering of trees, so we stayed warm and cozy all day, despite the weather. Plenty of brush around the property to keep the fire going all day! We loved hearing the ocean in the distance, and both feel at home in the trees, so it really was a lovely camp spot. The sound of traffic didnt really bother us- and it died down quite a bit around night fall. It was nice to have access to firewood- though we had to practice our lumber jacking skills and learned we might want to have a bundle or two of cut wood for easefulness next time. We appreciated this experience and felt safe, welcomed and happy to be in the trees in our own spot. The hosts were communicative and made sure we had clear directions to get into the spot, and we very much appreciate that. We look forward to seeing this beautiful place as it continues to evolve and hope to visit in the summer.
Thank you Megan and Jason for hosting us❤️
