Our secluded getaway is 30 miles from Timberline on Mt. Hood and 30 miles to the center of Portland, and just a couple of minutes off the main thoroughfare (Hwy 26) that connects the two. Hide away from the bustle of the modern world, or use us as home-base for travels to the city, the coast, the Cascades, and the Gorge. While you're here, enjoy nature, farm food, animals, and yourself. Our farm consists of 12 acres of garden, food forest, and silvopasture systems; 20 acres of regenerating forest, pond and wetland ecosystems for wildlife and native plants and animals; and 7 acres of farm buildings and infrastructure. Our approach to raising food and stewarding our lands focuses on building ecological resilience and diversity, and seek reciprocity in our relationship to the earth and our community. We have seven private tent campsites hidden in the forest but easily accessible by flat walking trails. Each camp oasis includes a level wood-chip pad for one tent, redwood stools and tables, and languid moments of absolute refuge and quiet (unless our livestock guardian dog hears a nighttime prowler - in which case, you'll hear some protective barking). Plenty of large trees perfect for stringing a hammock surround every camp pad. And every site is a short walk from a central camp amenities station with a toilet, hot water showers and wash sinks. One of our sites (#7) is equipped with a vintage canvas tent; just bring your own bedding and essentials and save yourself the effort of setting up and taking down a tent! You're welcome to walk the 2+ miles of farm trails and paths, check in on the animals, survey the farm pond, and find a spot for a forest bath or rest. Please stay out of farm buildings, avoid walking off of the well-trod trails and paths, refrain from harvesting or eating from the forest or farm, and close all gates after you pass through them (even if you found them open for some reason)! Because of fire hazards, we cannot have camp fires between May 1 and December 1. Please pack out all of your trash and leave your campsite as tidy as (or better than!) you found it. Pets are not allowed because of food and farm animal safety. More pictures and stories can be found on Instagram: @scrumpyfarest or https://scrumpyforestfarm.square.site

Tent-Furnished Campsite
Beautiful property
The property was beautiful. Lots of room to explore and meet the aninals . The bed mats were surprisingly comfortable. I slept very well on them. The morning when we woke up the hosts family and son brought us fresh raspberry and a baby duck for us to hold which made my entire day! My only "complaints" was how confusing it was to find my site. And how far the trek is from parking to your camp site. The host does provide wagons and they were a god send. After I found my site and got settled it was great!

Lovely! missing details in listing
This location is so beautiful! Was a beautiful stop to end a 6-day camping trip from east to west. Loved how quiet and still and dark the woods are. There are lights that illuminate the path. Plenty of space from other camp sites, there were 2 other groups there and we all felt secluded enough. Two things that were not mentioned in the listing that feel extremely important to know (and the other guests were all also surprised and frustrated) is that 1 - the driveway entrance is basically hidden so try to arrive during daylight if possible, and google maps might take you to a location around the corner. 2 - when you arrive you will have to park and grab a *very tiny* wagon and then walk 5-15 minutes to your campsite. There are maps that don't really make any sense. This was frustrating to have to go back and forth quite far for what we needed to set up. We loved our stay but wish we knew these details before hand!

This location exceeded expectations
Loving exploring Mt Hood from this great location. Even without leaving we have a serene and secluded campground, there’s farm animals and deer, fields of wild flowers, huckleberries, and too many special treats to discover here. Working and playing up here for the summer and this place exceeded and continues to exceed our expectations. The host is awesome! Definitely feel comfortable to refer this location to others.

Easy camping ! Great toilet & showers and the wood chip covered camp sites make them easy to level and is a soft (relatively speaking). Would definitely go back again😎

Beautiful spot close to activities
I loved camping at this beautiful spot! Paula was communicative and easy to book with. The spots were easy to find with clear signage, and the showers and bathroom were a big plus. There is a road that runs behind the camp sites but traffic is low. Overall a lovely place and I would stay here again.

Really comfy, fairly private and well appointed spaces. It’s a bit of a walk from parking, but host provides little wagons. Bathroom and shower were great, and we were welcomed by the host to stargaze in the nearby pasture.
